OMG!!!!

My mom just got a phone call from my Aunt, they were picked to be on the Family Feud TV show!!!! She is so excited, so am I . I think that my DD and I will go to be their "cheering section".

I was wondering, does anyone know where tv shows are taped in California, and how close in relation to ummmm....DISNEY LAND!!!:D

The tapings are Thurs, Sat, and Sunday, I'm thinking Friday we'll be free!!!

Yay!! I never really thought We'd go to DL, but hey why not?

Family Fued is filmed at Tribune Studios in Hollywood. It is about 30 miles away, from Disneyland, probably a good hour on the freeway, though a pretty straight shot down I-5.

Definitely worth spending an extra day just to hit Disneyland. Oh, and I think you have to be 14 or older to get tickets, though I don't know if that applies to family members who are there to cheer.

I'll be bringing my DD who's 5, and my neice, who's 9.

How many days would be good to do DL?

Boy, new guidebooks to buy, new research to do!!! So exciting!

Well, three would be optimal, but you will be fine with two. You really need one day in each park, and then a day to catch all the stuff you missed. If you have two days, you can do both parks, a full day in Disneyland, part of the second day in California Adventure and then back to Disneyland.

Oh, and check the 14 year old thing first, since that may just be for getting tickets to a show, and they may let in relatives who are younger.

Too AWESOME. I was wondering how they got picked? Did they have to call the show or send in like a postcard or something?

Although I havent been to DL in a very long time. I think I was like 10 yrs old and honestly I dont remember any of it. I would have to say if you have the x-tra time to be out there then I would take it and enjoy as much as you can.

Thanks!!! It's pretty exciting, my Mom is really excited!!

How they got picked: My cousin saw something online saying they were having tryouts in Boston, she sent in there name, and then they got called to go in for a mock game. The lady said they may choose 1 family or 10? it really just depended on what they were looking for. My mom said they were all really enthusiastic, and they had all dressed in blue. (they were the only team who dressed alike) They were told that any teams that were picked would receive a post card by the end of the week. There's came on Friday. Now it's the waiting game for when they go. The neat thing is it's all expense paid, airplane, hotel, and $spending money each day!

I'll let you know when they're on, hopefully I'll be up on stage jumping around because they won!!!!

HOW COOL! We ended up on a Nic show that airs on the 24th of Oct. this Friday, but not very exciting... but I am sure this will be very exciting! We went to Cali last year and it was just my wife and I and we skipped DL, I can't believe I did that DW really wanted to go, but for some reason I never put Disney in Cali I always associated FL, so my mistake... don't do what I did... Go to DL... It's a FREE trip... add a day or two and go!!
