Liberty Tree Tavern

We just returned from WDW. Sunday, we decided that we didn't want "fast food" since we would be at the airport and on a plane for most of the late afternoon and evening. I suggested the Liberty Tree Tavern since we had already made up our mind that there would be a long wait. We were pleasantly surprised and had to wait only about 15 minutes.

My husband had the pot roast and I had the turkey dinner. The food and service was GREAT! What made it even better was that it was cheaper than most of the other places at which had eaten. My mother-in-law was pleased with the food as well as my two DD's.

GIVE IT A TRY!

I agree. LTT is soooo Yummy!!!

We ate there in December as part of the MVMCP package. It was served family style then. Definitley enjoyable!

Oh no, I just cancelled my Liberty Tree dinner and change it to Whispering Canyon today. I was a little iffy with the menu and the parks being crowded so I decided to try Whispering Canyon to get away from the crowds. I hope I didn't make a big mistake here.

Paula,

Don't worry too much LTT is good, but Whispering Canyon is good too. If you want to get away from the crowds a bit, then it may be a better choice for you.

Just my opinion.

i don't think you made a mistake at all. I'm sure LT is wonderful, but you will not regret taking a breather from the parks and spending that breather at WL for dinner. My DD and I loved this restaurant. We had dinner there twice and breakfast once. I didn't like the all you can eat meal but did enjoy their steak dinner...yum!! The atmosphere of the place is the biggest draw. It's loud, obnoxious and just plain FUN FUN FUN....you have to try it for yourself. I even had a great time on the night we did the all you can eat dinner. I only liked 2 or threee of the things served but my DD liked them all and had a great time. That alone was worth it.

:)

LTT is wonderful..We ate there on our last trip for the first time. Crabcakes were to DIE for and the pot roast was so fantastic. And we had a birchbeer milkshake which was so yummmmmyyy.(In the collectors glasses)
I would love to go back there on our next trip and try a character dinner also.

To be honest we didnt like Whispering Canyon at all. The atmosphere was wonderful but the food was horriable. I didnt even eat mine at all. Maybe it was just a bad day or something but we couldnt wait to get out of there.

Question please. Does the Liberty Tree Tavern serve only family style - or do they have a menu.

Unlike most, family style is not a good choice for us, because one of my daughter's is a vegetarian, and I am not a big eater. It always seems like a waste of food whenever we've had "family style". My husband ends up eating everything, so as not to waste it and then feels grumpy and sick. I've heard the food here is good and would like to try it, but only if they have a menu.

Dinner is a family-style character meal. Lunch is ordered off the menu (no characters). We enjoyed our lunch there.

Adults $21.99

Assorted fresh desserts from Martha's Kitchen
$2.25 - $5.50 each

Well, the lunch menu sounds good, but just can't see myself eating a "Pilgrim's Feast" at 12 noon.

Think I'll have to pass on this one. Guess there are one or two other restaurants in WDW.:laugh
