Candlelight Processional Dinner Package

This question is for all of those DCers who have gone to the Candlelight Processional....better yet, those who have taken advantage of the dinner package Epcot has to offer. My question is, IS THE DINNER PACKAGE WORTH THE PRICE? Thanks for the info! :D

We did the CP Dinner Package last year when Marlee Matlin was the guest speaker. We were astounded when walking by the theatre to see a huge line waiting, an hour before the event. We stopped and asked a CM about the line, thinking we might be missing something, and he told us it was for Candlelight, and it was a relatively short line as Candlelight often plays to standing room only audiences.

We came back about ten minutes before and sat in the third row. Granted, they were way up front and to the left of the stage. Had a lovely view of the percussion section. :D However, we had guaranteed seating, thoroughly enjoyed it, and enjoy ourselves instead of standing around for an hour or so.

We had dinner at the Rose and Crown. it was a tier II package, I believe, and I think we could have chosen a better value for the food. HOWEVER, we could NOT beat the ringside seating for Illuminations.

Yes, for us, given the atmosphere, food, and incredible evening, it was a great value.

Is there a listing anywhere of the menus at the various restaurants you can choose from. Are you allowed to choose what ever you want off of the menu? We are looking at going to the Nine Dragons in China. Also wondering what the Garden Grill would be like? Help!!!!! I am needing to make PS ASAP as we are needing this for December 10.

I feel so confused right now--time is getting so close and now I'm getting the panics:nooo:

:heart :) :) :heart

Yes,you can order anything off the menus when you are a dinner package person. That is why I intend to get the 23 dollar appetizer and the 27 dollar entree. That brings up what I get to past 50 dollars and doesn't even take into account the dessert!!

That is way cool. I thought that they would give you a selected menu that you had to choose off of.

This is going to be just way to much fun.

Thanks so much Mickaholic!!!

cbeccaboo2, if you go to wdwig.com, there is a information on the candelelight processional and a list of the restaurants and their menus that are offering the dinner package. We have a package for Alfredo's too and I have the same idea that mickaholic4077 has, I plan to take full advantage of the dinner package!
:D ;)

Becca, before you spend a ton of time carousing the menus, I'd suggest calling and finding out which restaurants are still available at the times you would like to go. It might help narrow things down for you.

As for dinner at the Garden Grill, remember that it's in Future World and far from where the CP takes place.

If you have children with you, I would highly recommend the Garden Grill. My grandson and I were there last November and the characters were wonderful to him. They even fed him off the adult menu because he was burned out on the kid's items. It was worth the money just to walk in and not have to stand in line with a then 6 year old. We did make the mistake of sitting too close. It was too loud. If there are only adults-my husband and I enjoyed eating in China.

According to the information available, the Tier 2 restaurants are as follows:
San Angel Inn - Mexico
Nine Dragons - China
Rose and Crown - UK
Restaurant Marrakesh - Morocco

Cost for dinner is $32.99 per adult and $10.00 per child age 3 -11. Meals consist of soup, salad or appetizer, entree and dessert. The non-alcoholic beverage is not included in the package pricing this year. Prices include gratuity but not 6% sales tax. With tax the prices are $34.97 and $11.65 respectively.

If everyone wants something different, just place your reservations at the same time for the same show but choose different restaurants. That way you can sit together for the show but eat what you want.

Oops!

Sorry about that, the page I got the information from has a typing error. In Tier 1 and 3 they show the non-alcoholic beverage included, but on Tier 2, they have accidently typed in the word NOT.

Thanks
