Good Food at the German Pavilion

Food at the German Pavilion was delicious :D Last week we went with friends to spend the day at Epcot. We postponed lunch and had an early supper at the German Pavilion. We have eaten there some years before and remembered the food was good. This time we all thought the food was fabulous. We each had our favorites, but mine was the roast pork with apple/apricot sauce. The desserts were all great, so tempting in fact, that I sample all of them. In the German style, however the apple strudel was everybody's favorite.

Re: Good Food at the German Pavilion

Richard, did you try the heavenly carrot salad, and the pretzel dinner rolls? Oh man, I am always tempted to stuff my pockets with those rolls. I haven't done it yet, but if I ever turn to a life of crime...

This is one of my DH's favorite restaraunts, and it doesn't seem to get mentioned too much at this sight. Which is okay with him, cause he feels it's his little secret!

Re: Good Food at the German Pavilion

Oh and once, we met some new people at our table. They had kids the same ages as ours, and we really had a great time. Later in the trip, we ran intothem again at MGM and we rode rides together, which was so much fun for thekids especially, but really all of us. All from one little lunch at Biergarten...

My favourite is the pork schnitzel. It's embarrassing the amount I eat.

I agree, we've never had a bad meal at the Biergarten. I absolutely love the pretzel rolls, the pork & roasted chicken, potatoes, nearly everything. It really is delicious and you can't beat the fun atmosphere!

Re: Good Food at the German Pavilion

I tried Biergarten on my trip in 2007. I had been really reluctant since I am not a huge sausage/pork eater but my roommates really wanted to try it and I like trying new places at WDW.

I ended up LOVING it! The food was delicious, the entertainment was great and I am going again this trip!

OK, that's it. Being German, I usually avoid all "German" restaurants.
Also, I have listened to MissD telling in numerous threads that she likes it a whole lot.
Since she is such an outstanding baker, I must believe that she knows good food when she sees it.

Go listen to the music, have a beer (or your fav beverage) and get a feel for the atmosphere. You'll be back.
