Hey,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

I will be going to the Hoop De Do on my vacation in August. I understand you have to get there a half-hour in advance. My question to you all is when should I leave the Pop Century Resort to get there.

When I did the HDDR in 2000, I was traveling from All Star Music. I made a huge mistake with transportation and it took a hour to get there. A fast way to get there would be to take a bus to MK and then the boat to fort wilderness. I would still leave an hour or longer before the show in case you get held up. The fastest way, would be to take a taxi from your resort and it would take you right to it without having to transfer to boat at MK. It's only about 20 min of travel time that way. Your resort's front desk can call a cab for you.

That's the route we took. We took the bus to MK and then got on the boat to Hoop Dee Doo. Sat right in the front!! What a treat!

I have one question. Where do you get the boat at the Magic Kingdom?

You can catch the boat at the boat dock located in front of the entrance to the MK. It is to the left of the monorail when facing the monorail when leaving the MK. Make sure you catch the boat to Fort Wilderness. There is another boat that goes to Polynesian and Grand Floridian, and the big boat that goes back to the transportation Center.
