Breakfast at Epcot?
I need a breakfast reccomendation for Epcot - other than the Princess breakfast at Akerhus.
My plan is to knock off MS and TT first thing and before eating breakfast but by the time we finish these my DW will want some DF(ood). (darn, Pure and Simple at Wonders of Life is closed) |

Greg, I am so sorry to say that I can't help you! I have NEVER eaten breakfast at Epcot, and the only thing I really hear about is the Princess Breakfast in Morocco! Maybe you could grab something quick from your hotel food court before you go to Epcot? This way it's out of the way...just a thought! ;)

Looks like nobody eats breakfast at Epcot. You could try the Sunshine Food Fair at the Land Pavillion, but they just serve bagels, croissants, cinnamon buns, etc. How about walking over to Spoodles on the Boardwalk. According to Birnbaum's they serve breakfast. The menu includes eggs, meats, fish, cereal and french toast. Beaches & Cream or Cape May Cafe at the Beach & Yacht Club may be an alternative.

There are (or at least were last time I tried to eat there) 2 places for breakfast in EPCOT other than the Princess breakfast.
There is a bakery and coffee kind of place as you come in to the left and behind Spaceship Earth. You can also find things in the Sunshine Food Fair area inside the Land building. With all the changes in seasonal openings lately, this is what I am remembering from past trips anyways.

Are you trying to avoid eating before riding these two rides??
Fountainview Espresso and Bakery (by the big fountain!) serves breakfast and the Sunshine Season Food Fair in the Land. Those and the Princess Breakfast are your only choices for breakfast in EPCoT.

Why not just grab a quick bite at your resort (something small), go to Epcot and do MS and TT and then have an awesome lunch at one of the countries? Try LeCellier...I have been dying to and I have heard nothing but positive reviews about this place.

The 2004 edition of Birnbaums doesn't show breakfast at the Electric Umbrella.....I'm sure we've gotten breakfast there years ago, though.

We always wind up at Electric Umbrella. It isn't a place I'd go ooohhh, let's eat THERE about. But it is very conviently located. Especailly w/ your ride plans -- you'd practically have to walk right by it to do anything else in Epcot. They have eggs and milk and bagel sandwiches and cold cereal. Basically like the food courts at the resorts. We found it a bit pricy for junk food, but the junk at our hotel was just as expensive when we got that desperate, lol!!! There's plenty of tables so it doesn't feel crowded at breakfast time. Sometimes the order lines can be long though. Not the place to go for gourmet coffees, of course, but less of a walk than the Sunshine Food Fair if you're looking for something more "traditional". :)

Thanks for the Replies
Basically, when it comes to Disney mornings I'm Tigger and my DW is Eeyore! I'll be ready to bounce to our first attraction and she'll be saying, "Cahhhhh... Feeee...". Then once she's awake she'll want to have a magical experience with a fried egg.
So my revised plan is jump out of the shower and into my sneakers before she gets up and while she gets ready I'll bounce down to the Roaring Fork and grab her some portable breakfast. Any wife whose husband wakes her up singing 'Grim Grinning Ghosts' at least deserves breakfast. On the other hand, if she hears, "my, oh my, what a wonderful day..." before sunrise I will definitely get clobbered... Last edited by gregc; 01-05-2004 at 11:40 AM. |

Greg, dear, you're bouncing again. It's not even noontime, all right? Also, warn us before you start singing and scare my computer silly... :p
BTW, the Roaring Forks idea was the right answer... from a wife whose husband is as Tiggerific as you in the morning... that's why I send him out golfing before dawn... LOL!

So funny Greg. We headed out to Epcot without breakfast in Oct. We went to the Sunshine food court in the Land and there was only one place open. I did get my all important cup of COFFEE and a sweet roll but no traditional breakfast food. Coffee can be found in just about every place!! It is an essesntial for some of us.

We usually eat breakfast on the go, like breakfast bars or granola. If we don't eat before we get to Epcot, we usually head straight over to Norway. Their pastries are very good. Their sweet pretzels are excellent and not too sweet. They are fairly large as well. France also has pasteries, though we prefer Norway. We are usually too excited to be there to have a sit down, bacon and eggs breakfast. :)
