Good Restaurants Off Site ???
My DH and I are staying off property apx 1.5 miles from AK. We're looking for some good restaurants in the 195/International Dr area. Several restaurants that I have looked at are located inside of the resort hotels...i.e. Coney Island Seafood & Lobster Feast inside of Ramada Inn Eastage, The Outback Restaurant behind Wyndham Palace Resort...etc. If anyone has any opinions of these or other restaurants within a 15 mile radius to Formosa Gardens area..I would greatly appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe that WDW closes at 6pm in May ( I don't think times are posted yet ?) and we really like to eat dinner later in the evening.
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I can't recall the name of the street but it is near Downtown Disney and there are several good resturaunts there.
There is a Chevy's (a must when we go to WDW and eat off property), Macaroni Grille, Uno's, Lone Star steak house, Golden Corral and several more chain resturaunts. When you're coming off of the main highway it will be the exit that indicates Downtown Disney. Surely you can find something good to eat on this street.

Do not do the Coney Island, they only give you one lobster with the buffet.... If you want Lobster do the Boston Lobster feast... It is about 30 per person after 6 and about 25 per person before 6 but much better than the Coney Island at about 18 per person. also their is an Angels Buffet that is about 20 per person for all the Lobster you can eat. We just prefer Boston Lobster Feast. but dizneeluvr is correct that you can find just about any type of food very close to Disney.

Benihana's is always a good one too.Or if you feel like driving over toward Universal - Emerils is a MUST! Yummy. We may go there in a couple of weeks because we just love it.

You mentioned Outback Steakhouse, which is a very good medium-scale restaurant. The steaks are excellent, and if you go you should try the "Bloomin' Onion" appetizer. If you're looking for a late dinner, though, don't give up on WDW. Many of the resorts have upscale restaurants that are simply marvelous. Try the California Grill on the top floor of the Contemporary Resort. With fabulous food and a spectacular view of the Magic Kingdom, it's one of the best restaurants in Florida.
