Hoop de Doo or Trails End Buffeteria for 5/6 yr olds

I can't decide if I should take my 5 and 6 yr olds to the Hoop de Doo or the Trails End Buffeteria for dinner on one of our non park days. I wanted to go to Ft Wilderness to sightsee and then have a meal. I was thinking we could look around , have a meal, and then a hayride. I would gladly pay more to see Hoop de Doo if it were worth it, but I don't know if it is. I'm kinda concerned about the menu at the show. About the only things my kids eat is cicken fingers. Any suggestions appreciated!

We love to eat at Trails End buffet. It is definitly the best buffet for the money. The dinner food is the same at Trails End and Hoop de Doo. The fried chicken (on the bone) is the best I've ever had. My kids love chicken fingers, so we just pull the chicken off the bone for them. They love it!!
The atmosphere is great at Trails End and the waiters are terrific. Also the place is never crowded, so it's a nice place to get away from the action.

Here's a link for the menu and prices.

If you decide to go, FW also has a campfire where you can roast marshmallows and see a movie after dark. You could go after dinner.

Another option is Mickey's Backyeard Bar B Que! I don't knwo when your planning on oging but the kids have a blast at this! The foots is simple, bar b qued chicken, hotdogs, corn on the cob and corn bread. Drinks and dessert is also included. The show is wonderful for kids and adults and the characters are all decked out in western wear! The characters come out on the floor on and off during the show and dance with the kids (Big and small)!

Cost is a consideration also

Hoop De Doo - $49.01 for adults and $24.81 for children 3-11

Trials End Buffeteria $15.99 Adult; $6.99 Child (3-11)

WDW may be family friendly but it's certainly family expensive.
