Planet Hollywood

If this is a duplicate posting, I apologize.

Planet Hollywood is located at Downtown Disney where the West Side and Pleasure Island meet.

We went on the Saturday(29th) before New Year's Eve 2002. We had a bit of a walk to get to the elevator and main dining area (we had one stroller and one wheelchair). We were seated immediately but were squeezed in between two other tables and a pole. We decided to tolerate it since the restaurant was so busy at the time.

The wait staff were attentive when we first sat down. It took a while to get our food but when it finally arrived it was a big disappointment. We ordered a steak sandwich, a tuscan chicken sandwich, and a burger. Everyone hated there food. It was dry and/or tasteless.

It took a long time to get and pay our bill. The total was $50.00 for the three lunches without alcohol.

I have been to Planet Hollywood at Disney many times. Each time is worse than the last. I doubt I will eat there again.

P.S. If you go, don't forget to ask about the Annual Pass / Disney Club discount!

So sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your visit. We have been there probably 6-8 times in our 14 trips to Disney. We have always enjoyed our food and the atmosphere.

I agree -- our food was overpriced and just gross. I could get basically the same food at any standard chain restaurant for alot less. We just visit the gift shop now and check out the memorabilia.

Me too!

"Planet Hollywood" is an inside joke in our family... We had a miserable experience there in 1995. So now when we can't decide where to eat, someone will say "How about Planet Hollywood" and hilarity ensues... :)

Cool stuff to look at, but it's the epitome of overrated.
