PS at Chef Mickeys

We are planning to have a Character Breakfast at Chef Mickeys at the end of May. Does anyone have any recommendations on the bast time to make our PS? I have read to try to go during off times so the kids will have more time with the characters.

We have been to WDW 2 times and had breakfast with Mickey at Ohana's both times. Will a 8 year old boy like Chef Mickey's as much as Ohanas?

We are going to Epcot after our meal (on Thursday).

i would recommend doing and early or late breakfast that way the chacters (sp?) are more likely to have more time and your wouldnt feel rushed in eating

We were thinking of making it around 7:30. Would that be considered "early"?

We tend to go at about 10:00. That way most people have already left for the parks.

We hit the park first, then take a break for Chef Mickeys (only a 5 minute walk to get there from the park. With most people already at the parks, the characters can really spend lots of time with your family. It is one of our favorite things to do!

That is what I am thinking of doing. We will go to MK for EMH, then about the time the crowds start getting bad, head to Chef Mickeys for a late breakfast/early lunch. Then maybe hit Epcot via the monorail! Plus that way we should be full till late afternoon. (with a little help from a Mickey Ice Cream bar, of course!)

I have heard that if you get the last seating the characters really spend a lot of time with you. I have seen someone say they were able to get a photo with all the characters at the same time this way.

My 8 year old loves chef mickeys. After eating breakfast at O'hana's his favorite is still Chef Mickey's. (he likes that he can go and pick out what he wants on his own!)We always like to eat a late breakfast around 1030-11am. But if you are going to the parks that day, you may want to try for an earlier time. Have fun!!!

I've been to all the character meals. Chef Mickey's breakfast is the best. The characters (especially Goofey) plays with the children more than at other meals. They have this great napkin twirlling thing they do when anyone is celebrating special occasions & get the entire restaurant involved. It's a great fun meal. I go with adults only & we love going there. We reserve 11:00 - 11:30 on a day we are going to Magic Kingdom or Epcot
& ride the monorail in to Contemporary. Big time saver & you get to do something in the park while waiting. Food is superb & they only serve breakfast & dinner,. No lunches.
Have a great time!

Your kids are gong to love Chef Mickey's. It's the perfect way to start the day and get into the WDW spirit (as if we need help). 7:30 ps will allow you plenty of tiem to eat and get to Epcot before opening. Enjoy!

I think the boy is going to LOVE Chef Mickey's! I've done breakfast at both Ohana's and Chef Mickey's, and CM is by far the best. The parade at Ohana's and controlled atmosphere of staying at your table is great for younger kids, but Chef Mickey's is better for the slightly older kids. The napkin twirling thing is just the BEST fun!!! I still wind up going around singing "celebrate, celebrate, celebrate with Mickey Mouse!". The buffet is excellent (although I prefer their dinner one). The whole atmosphere is just one big party thing. Whereas I still feel half-asleep at Ohana's, lol! :) Seeing Mickey and the gang dressed up like chefs is cool too -- but I'm not really found of Hawaiian shirts and WHY are the chipmunks in drag, lol! :)
