Last Night in WDW Dinner
Hi
I would love some opinions on where to eat our last night in Disney. We are already planning on eating at the following: Sci-Fi 50's PT H & V ESPN Epcot - Italy (forgot the name of the place) Wispering Canyon Chef Mickeys We'll be staying at the Contemporary so I was thinking maybe another place at Epcot ....maybe Ohanas....... Would love to hear all your opinions. Thanks!!!

If you have kids, I'd definitely do Whispering Canyon, or Chef Mickey's (in that order of preference). Will you consider no other options? One suggestion would be dinner & a show if you haven't done Hoopdeedoo Review yet. I didn't think I'd like it- we did it without kids. By the end of the night, I was playing a pretty mean washboard and having a really good time. I will really enjoy taking the boy when he's old enough (oh, and his little sister or brother of course when they arrive).

I think Ohana's is a great finale to any trip. I just went there for the first time in February and I really enjoyed it!
However, I honestly think ANY nice restaurant would be perfect for me. I never plan my last night, I usually play it by ear while I am there...;)

OK, I'm a spaz. I thought I had to run down your list and "pick one". Gotta read these posts better!
Ohana is a GREAT pick. As long as the field is wide open, I would definitely not miss the California Grill atop your resort. Not the best pick for the whole family, though (pricey). The Brown Derby was kind of fun for us; I think the Epcot Italian is overrated. Good, but not great. Have you thought about the Teppanaki Grill at EPCOT? Very good, and fun. You need to make reservations ASAP as it fills up. You will also be sitting with other people- that's the way it works- like Benihana. Finally, and this is sort of dull normal- but you could do fish & chips at the Rose & Crown; or grab a steak at Le Cellier (Canada at EPCOT)- also a bit pricey. Paul

O'Hana's would be my first choice. You have a great dinner and you can see the fireworks from the window.
If you want an EPCOT restaurant, I like France and Canada. They are both great. Then again I also like Morocco - you get a show with that too. And I heard that Mexico was supposed to be great too. I am not helping you much am I? :dazed

Hi Buzz! I like your choices so far. How many adults and kids in your party? I remember you're going with a big group, right?
Do you have a "magical gatherings number"? We learned at the M&G which places could seat large groups well and others that could not accomodate us very well. I like DougiesMommys suggestion of Tony's (we loved it) or one of the othe MK eateries like the Crysatl Placae or the Liberty Tree character meals. If the park closes at 7, you can usually get a reservation for that time...we found it was very relaxed and service was great, since most people wouldn't think to eat in the MK at closing time.;) :)

A group of 8 should have no problem at anyplace then...you'll have a great time!
Our group was always larger than 15, and we were split up alot.

California Grill at the top of the Contemporary has now become our favorite, but Ohana's is a great choice, too, especially if there are kids involved. If you pick CG, try to time it so you're there when the fireworks are going. It's a beautiful time.

We really liked Whispering Canyon at WL and if you have kids they will like it too (Make sure they request ketchup!) O'Hana's is nice, the food is great and plentiful. Boma is also delicious but the food is more adventerous so if you have picky eaters, not the place to go. My husband likes Boma for breakfast better than dinner but he is a morning eater. I also recommend Hoop de doo if you can get in. The food is not real terrific but the show is so much fun and everyone has a good time.
At Epcot: Japan or Germany Have a great time!

I would also agree that Ohanas would be an excelent choice since it would be very easy for you to get to and is a wonderful restraunt. Another choice of mine would be the Dining Room in England at Epcot for 7:30. Dinner and Illuminations would make a wonderful way to end your trip.

Ohanas is a must we ate there about a couple of weeks ago, for Starters Wings, fried wonton, string beans, rice and a salad plus bannana bread put in the middle of the table with three sauces to dip your meat in.Shrimp,Trukey,Pork and Steak all grilled on a skrewer. At the End of your meal pineapple chunks and Carmel sauce.
Even better this all you can eat.Its family style so you don't have to wait in a food line. |
