obsessed with food/ PS

I am spending my honeymoon at Disney in July (can't wait!!!)

i have become totally obsessed with food/PS

i don't want to miss anything. . . . does the following seem reasonable (room left for Universal/IOA and mind changing :) )

the meals that aren't accounted for will probably be just counter service or whatever

Breakfast
Kona Cafe

Lunch
CRT
Sci-Fi

Dinners
Concourse Steakhouse
Chef Mickey's
Bomba
Cape May Clambake
Ohana

we're staying at POR if that helps

the day we spend in epcot will be counter service around the world showcase (yum) and possibly beaches and cream for dinner

we fly in on a sunday (july 11) at about 6ish i think (our flight is direct from boston). . i was thinking of making PS for the concourse steakhouse that first night. . do you think this is a good idea. . . if so. . what time. . if not. . where would you suggest (we're on a budget and my fiance is a picky eater lol so V&A's is out )

if you've read this far and can help me thanks sooo much :)

:)

RedFraggle, welcome to DisneyCentral. Congrats on your upcoming wedding and honeymoon. I think your plan looks great. You will love Kona Cafe, a personal favorite.

My one suggestion would be that the night you arrive, instead of Concourse Cafe, which is ok but nothing special, head over to the Boardwalk area and eat somewhere there. Spoodles is fantastic, as is Flying Fish, but you could also do ESPN which is fun (and your hubby might get a kick out of it). It is a great place to spend your first night, plus if you walk over towards EPCOT, there are some areas where you can see the fireworks pretty well.

I, too, am obsessed with the dining aspect of a WDW vacation!

We honeymooned at GF back in 1991 and found the dinner shows to be quite enjoyable, particularly the polynesian luau and Hoop De Do Revue. Though it doesn't sound romantic, the cast members at Hoop De Do made us feel very special.

Food is part of the fun. Not only do you have amazing choices the food is out of this world. My first trip was a budget trip and I drove with four children, from MI. AT first I planned to brown bag it. And the more I thought about it I decided to make a few PS and play it by ear. Wow if you ask the children what their favirote things were, they would reply (the food). Sometimes everything can be overwhelming and just sitting down and eating makes everthing fresh again. MY two favorite places are the Castle for breakfast and Boma for dinner.Tina

Wonderful choices! This past trip Kona Cafe became one of my favoirtes! We ate there at lunch but I wam sure breakfast is just as good. Chef Mickey's however is my all-time favorite. Also Ohanas always gets rave reviews on here so I am sure you will love that. The rest of them I have never really had any expiriences with and some of them I have never even heard of. Counted service at Epcot is a wonderful idea but if you despise lines like me be careful even at 2 PM they can be packed. My suggestion would be to eat early around 11!

Welcome to Disney Central and congrats on your upcoming wedding. I can understand the PS obsession. I am guilty of it myself. Your choices look awesome and I have to agree with Mickey with going to the Boardwalk on your first night. It's a good choice. I can't wait to hear more about your upcoming trip.

If you're looking for a steak, I'd pass on the Concourse Steakhouse and opt for Le Cellier in Epcot.

We often joke that we eat our way around the world. But the truth is that WDW has some of the finest dining and we take our dining plans seriously.

We love Boma and O'hana and will drive up on a Saturday just for dinner (3hrs). You can't beat the quality, and atmosphere.

You made great choices. Good luck on your marriage and honeymoon.

Congrats and Best Wishes!

:D

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

We have been going to Disney for so long now, just got back from our 16th trip and trying to plan a trip for Christmas!!!

Me and DH will be married 20 years in June and the resteraunts and dining are a big part of our trips as well!
There's always a great place to try!

The boardwalk area are great choices!

Also, if you have a car rental, try Disney's town of Celebration, they have excellent resteraunts there as well!
We go to the Columbian Resteraunt, and love it!

Pixie dust and god bless you on your upcoming wedding!
Have fun!
what a great place to spend a honeymoon!
so many choices..!
ENJOY!
