We like Crystal Palace. We also had great character interaction there. The characters came by several times and spent plenty of time at the table. We also like Chef Mickeys and have good char. interaction there as well. Last trip we did the Storybook Princess Breakfast and had very mixed feelings about it. The character interaction was not good at all but the food was.

As far as noncharacter meals, I would also recommend O'hana's for dinner. It is very good! Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK is also really good. I think it is restful to go to a sit down restaurant while at MK. They also have character dining with Mickey and friends but we have not done this. There are also a ton of nice restaurants in EPCOT to choose from. Good luck in choosing!

Hey yall,
Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.
nicatene1, your daughter is 3 right?? I kinda get worried since most CB's are buffet style, since she's young try and find one where they bring out the food. Plus young kids and buffet lines arent a really great combo.
The only 2 Cb's I've had is 1900 park Fare and breakfastosaurus.
As mush fun as I had at 1900 and as much as I love tigger, I still would go with breakfastosaurus.
In looking at the menus and characters, BFS, has the most on the menu and the best character selection (IMO). I know 1900 had an omlette station but I don't care much for omlettes. I love b-fast pizza and BFS was the only buffet that I saw which had one!
Mickey, Goofy, Donald, pluto (the main guys) were all there. PLus they were in their Safari gear!!!! So if you're doing Character hunting and need safari pluto/mickey/ etc. you not only get b-fast but them as well. PLus since BFS happens before the park opens, you're already in AK and don't have to worry about the ticket lines entering!
What are the thoughts of character dinner?? I always go for breakfast since at the end of the day even a cm gets a little tired of seeing our furry friends all day and just wants to relax with a nice drink and a big steak!

My daughter is 2, but will be 3 when we go. She has informed me that she wants to eat dinner with Pooh & friends, so as of now that is a character dinner that we have to do. Of course she is only 2 so this could change on a daily basis!!;)

The Crystal Palace (MK) has WTP and friends and is GREAT for younger kids esp
and Ohanas at the Polynesian is great too ( brekkie only) with Minnie, Chip and Dale and Goofy all in grass skirts and lays.

These are my fav's although there are so many i have not tried.
I promised myself ill do them all one day!!!!

We took our then almost 18month old to the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe. It was excellent. It is a buffet, but either myself or DH stayed with Cade while the other got him food. The character interaction while we were there was excellent also. It is Minnie, Chip & Dale, and Goofy. Apparently some days Donald is there. The place was full, but we got lots of attention from the characters. The food for breakfast was excellent also, gotta love those Mickey Waffles.
We did this right before we left for home.

Next time I would like to try Ohana and Chef Mickey's since they always get such good reviews...

Def try Cape May for breakfast though it is great!!!

I didn't hear anyone mention the character dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern at MK. It has Minnie, Pluto, and Chip & Dale. The food is terrific and you get a lot of face time with the characters.
The food is all you can eat served family style, so you don't have to keep getting up like you do at a buffet and the characters were wonderful. My DD loved the characters cracking her grandma up. She had a blast and cannot wait to go back this year with her grandpa.

Also, going to Cinderella's castle for any meal is good. Lunch is wonderful and the food is delicious. You might even meet Cinderella in the elevator like my DD did this year ("She wouldn't use the elevator if she didn't live in the castle, Mom."). I have been going there for years. Every trip since I was a little girl. It is a tradition that I have continued with my DD. I just think that eating there is like eating at the most beautiful place in the world and it is so special, now that I am 34 - it makes me feel like a little girl again. Try it and start a tradition with your child. You'll be glad you did.

We have PS's for the 1900 at GF. Has anyone done that? (Mary Poppins et al.)

My DD enjoying Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner

Here is the picture I forgot to include in my previous post about our character dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. As you can see, my DD was having a really good time with Pluto. She can't wait to go back in Sept. 2004.

Matt, are you going for bf or din?? I have been to the CB and it was great, Mary was wonderful, she came to her table and I told her I was working Parade that day, she said she would look for me and wave to me!:D Funny thing is that Mary did wave to me on shift and it made my day even more magical!
Anyways pooh, Tigger (!!!!!!), Bert, Alice and of course Mary P. were all there and we had a blast, great food and great character interaction.
Its one of the few Cb's I've done but I reccommend it. If you're going for dinner I believe the cast should be the same, just with a dinner menu, so check it out, you know it's prob gonna be a blast either way!

We're doing the CB on the first morning. Since it's an EMH day, they won't be doing the opening ceremony. Therefore, I figured that an early CB over at the Grand Floridian would be cool. We've got an 8:30am PS.

Thanks for the info. :)

That is MY kind of buffet! I plan on trying this on our first night next trip! My boss went to LTT in Febrary with his family of 11 people and they all LOVED it!!

And apparently that's already been done for me! :laugh

But yes, Chef Mickey's!!! I also love 1900 Park Fare.
