Lucky you--
Can you believe--
I'm going to WDW in less than a month with two other folks who laughed at me for even suggesting a PS! Their argument is, "How are we going to know when we're hungry? That's ridiculous!. We can just grab something 'real quick' and then eat something nicer that evening. Or breakfast even."

When I tried to explain that we should at least put in for Breakfast at Chef Mickey's (we're staying at CR), I was met with the same kind of balking. "I've been to WDW lots of times. It's never been so complicated."
Sigh. I can already see this is going to be an *interesting* stay.
Basically, I'm tagging along with them for a family event and taking the opportunity to introduce one of them to WDW, so I'm not going to complain. Just slyly grin a quiet "I told you so" when they start looking around for a nice place to sit an eat.

I'll save PS's for when I go back with DGF.

Have fun.

He-he-he geeman - I am going through the same thing. I just made PS and its my plan to arrange it so we "just happen" to be near the restauraunts at the PS times ... I've been there when we don't have PS and there's no restaurant with available tables- especially during crowded times of the year.

Some people just don't get it ;)

I think you have made some really good choices. Last trip we stayed at the WL. We had dinner one night at WC and on our last morning we ate breakfast there. Both were good but I personally liked breakfast there a little better. It was a very nice way to end our vacation before we hit the road back home.

Thanks Dana! Do you think we'll need a PS for breakfast at WC? We've left a few mornings open thinking we might eat there, but haven't done a ps for breakfast at WC.

Did you eat at Artist Point? What did you think? Was it okay for your kids?

We did not need a PS for breakfast that morning. It was not very crowded at all. I can't remember if that was the norm for morning or not. I really don't think you will need a PS for breakfast. We also did not have a PS for dinner. It was about a 20 min. wait--not to bad. Dinner time was definitely more crowded.

We didn't eat at Artist Point. From what I've read, I think it is a little more adult oriented. It is a more upscale restaurant than WC. I think DH and I would really like it, but I thought the kids would enjoy something else more. You have a great selection of restaurants though.

What days are you going to which parks?

In August I went through the same thing. But I just pushed the issue & made PSs anyway. They were ALL glad I did!!! We don't go without PSs. Sometimes we wind up cancelling them, but at least we've got something we can plan on.

Jordansdad...sounds great!!! Can I come along??

I LOVED Artist Point! I don't have any kids, it was just my BF and myself, but it was a wonderful dinner. I did see some families there though, the kids were pretty well behaved. I guess it depends on how old your kids are and if they can sit still for a period of time. One thing about AP, the service was kinda slow-not in a bad way, just a nice leisurely meal. They didn't rush you along. I had a wonderful filet mignon, and my BF had the buffalo steak. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. A bit pricey, but worth it for us anyway. Maybe you can check allearsnet.com and see if they have the menu posted, and see if they have a kids selection.

geeman, maybe you should make a few PS's and just not discuss them with anyone. Then when they are all frustrated and you have the "I told you so" grin on your face, you can save the day. You can always cancel them if they are not going to work into your schedule. I would definitely make a PS for Chef Mickeys. Everyone in my family thinks I'm a little nuts for all the planning I do. My mom says why don't you relax and just let whatever happens happen. *sigh*

I think you made great choices. I picked a few the same as you for this trip. Whispering Canyon, and Ohana to cap off our vacation also.

Have a great trip!!
