what is it about Ohana's?

I have noticed that many of you rave about O'hana's. Because of you I will dining here on my trip in December. What exactly is it about this restaurant that so many of you like? Is it the food, or the atmosphere? Perhaps a combination of both?

Hi, we were just there on Friday for the first time. What I liked the most was the view of wishes (fireworks) right after we ate. The tropical drinks were fun and fruity. But the food was great. The starters are served on a lazy susan because there are so many of them. They were wonderfull. My personal faves were the wantons and the chicken wings. and you can have as much of any of these as you like (I sure did) then they brought skewers of meat from their grill. We were served steak, pork, turkey and shrimp... yummmmmm. we made royal pigs out of ourselves. And then asked for more, lol. It realy is an experience we will do again.

All you desire to eat chicken, steak, shrimp and pork for starters. In my opinion, done to perfection, served on TEN FOOT skewers.(Just kidding about the skewers!) The most unusual salad dressing...in a good way. Really good Bloody Mary's. Fun desserts. Entertainment for the adults...sort of. And fun and games for the kids. Just a total package. Very unique dining experiance. Yummy!

For me, it was the food more than anything! I donīt remember watching the fireworks from there, but I do remember how abundant and DELICIOUS the food was! They had this banana bread made in their oven (not sure if they still do it) that was just great. Itīs the mix of flavors that makes the food very unique. *slurp* :p

'Ohana is a must do for us every trip. We love the food, the shrimp is to die for, and the service has always good for us. We don't go for the entertainment, we would go even if they didn't have it, but we enjoy it.

As far as my family is concerned, O'hanas is the BEST place at Disney to eat! It's the one place we all agree on. The food is very good, served family style on a lazy susan. We have been there for both breakfast and dinner. A trip to Disney just would not be complete for us if we did not have at least one meal at O'hanas. We have never been disappointed there. Go and enjoy!

What DH and I like most about Ohana's is simply: EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING
There isnt anything bad that I can say about it at all. I have to agree that is one of the best places to eat at in Disney.

Love those pineapples and Lapu Lapu(sp) drinks....

Oh boy I think that Im having a melt down, need to go back.

some one mention the entertainment. I have noticed the last couple of times we were at Disney that I did not see an advertisement for the Luaha. Did O'hanas replace the Luaha(bad at spelling) or is that the entertainment that you are speaking of.
We really used to enjoy the food and entertainment there... been a while...

'Ohana has not replaced the luau at the Poly. The luau is still there but the show was replaced a year or so ago. If you had been there in the past you would notice a new show now.

The entertainment at 'Ohana is just for fun, there is some live music, hula hoops and a coconut race for the kids. It is fun but different from the entertainment at the luau.

SHRIMP!!!!!!!!

That is the best thing about O'hanas to me, just read my report from the last week of February. So far it is our FAVORITE place to eat at WDW. Everyone in my family LOVED it and can't wait to go back in October 2005!
