Fireworks from O'Hanas
We have PS for O'Hanas in May at 7:10. What are the chances of us getting to see the fireworks while we are there? Should we try to change the PS to a little later or is ther somewhere at the Poly we can go to view the fireworks and/or Water Parade after we finish our meal even though we are not staying at the Poly (we are at POR)?

As many people on this board will tell you, heading out to the beach to watch the fireworks is a wonderful thing to do. And no, you do not have to be staying at the resort to do this.

hi,
my dh and I have watched the fireworks from the Poly at both the Beach location and from Ohanas. Both magical in their own ways. I would say that you Ps is ok, maybe a little too early, unless you like to really savor your meal as I believe the fireworks dont begin until 9pm and the staff there do seat you on time. If you are happy with your ps at this time though the only thing I would suggest is that you get to the Poly half an hour or so earlier than the PS reservation and when you advise the CM that you are there ask them for a window seat if at all possible and tell them that you really want to see the fireworks from your table. My dh and I did this and we were seated in the most perfect spot and watched the whole magical display from here whilst eating our FABULOUS pineapple and caramel dessert!!!!! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ( sorry went to a happy place there!!!! ha ha ha ) enjoy it and have a magical time big hugs xxxxx |

We'll probably be exhausted, so getting to the Poly early won't be a problem. ;) I am SOOOO looking forward to this. :) What is the drink they serve there? Is it the Mai Tai?

hi matt,
To be honest im not too sure if they have a speciality drink which they serve. If they have ive never been aware of it and ive had many a meal there. However whilst you are waiting for your name to called, I can wholeheartidly recommend the cocktail bar ( immediately next door to restaurant ). Cocktails fab, service fab and you can toatally soak up the disney atmos in pure comfort. I will keep my fingers crossed for you but im sure the CM or 'cousins' as they refer to themselves at the poly, will look after you completely. I am getting excited for you buddy!!!! take care ![]() |
