My husband is the picky one!

We are going to WDW for the first time...and my husband is the picky eater. He likes burgers, italian, some chicken, pasta, and anything breakfast. I have done some research and want to try Beaches and Cream and maybe one of the Whispering Canyon buffets for breakfast. We are also doing a character breakfast one morning. Where else might be "up our alley" ?

Fort wilderness campground has a breakfast buffet that is excellent! There is also Tonys which is located as soon as u walk into the MK and offers a romantic breakfast or italian dinners.

You said he likes burgers...how about steak/beef? If so, here is my top choice: O'hana in the Polynesian Resort:

They bring out grilled steak, turkey, and Pork medallions....lots of yummy apetisers and best of all HUGE SHRIMP! This is ALL YOU can eat!!

Here is the menu: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_oh.htm

If he's a "meat and potatoes" kinda guy - I think he might like the food at 50's PrimeTime Cafe in MGM. They have great "comfort food" items on the menu.

My DD and I are definately amoung the "meat and potatoes people". We like a bit of Italian too, but nothing to exotic. Here are my favorites:

Le Cellier (best steak in WDW IMHO)
Hollywood and Vine (variety buffet with excellent choices)
Momma Melrose (good Italian food, huge portions)
O'hanna (very good meats)
Whispering Canyon ( all you can eat breakfast is better than the dinner...good dinners from menu)
Crystal Palace (excellent character meal...great buffet)
Chef Mickey's
50's prime time (meatloaf rocks!)

hope some of these help.

dizneybaby,
We're in the same boat, My Gf is also a picky eater too, you prob read a previous thread.
Anyways beaches and cream sounds good I think we're going there too.
character breakfast go to breakfastosaurus at AK, if he like breakfast he will love (what do I always say guys??) Breakfast pizza!!! I think thats like the 8th thread now for breakfast pizza!

Rainforest cafe is great, my picky Gf loves it there! thats saying something! Plus I love the theming.

Pecos bills is good for a quick burger, plus the topping bar! Yumm! Mushrooms and meletd cheese on my burger!!:)

Are you going for sit down or quick and caual, I think that would help us a bit more, since all I see listed are quick burger joints.

And Melli, stop promoting the HAM legs!!! lol :laugh

The good news is that almost every restaurant has a portion of the menu devoted to kids... lots of burgers, macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, etc. But we always add in a couple of special buffets just to please our picky ones! Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club Resort is so wonderful!!! All you can eat and the fresh fruit and seafood is terrific! Your husband might also really like the very traditional food at the '50s Prime Time Diner at MGM. Lots of meatloaf-type dishes and you get to pick your dessert off of a Viewmaster!

Thanks for the great ideas! I have written them down and printed off the menus. This narrows it considerably. I do not want to get there and not know which direction to turn!! Mostly we are going for sit down restaurants with not too fancy food. He is picky and we have two young kids. But I despise "fast food" environments. And the kids know how to behave. :D
