Favorite Park Snacks

After looking at the boards I was wondering whats everyones favorite park snack??

I know the majority of people will say turkey legs, but I myself love a good rootbeer float!

true story last year Ashley and I were at AK and I said I was thirsty, I got a rootbeer float cause I love em.
She looked at it and said, why did you get that, I thought you were thirsty. I didn't say a word and gave her a sip.
From that point on she just looked at me and said oh.
Now thats on the top of her list when we go back!

favorite snack

I love those frozen ice cream bars that are chocolate with caramel and then dipped in chocolate. The last time we went they were called Goofy bars but they seem to rename them frequently after the disney hero of the day. I remember them also being Hercules bars and Pocohontas bars on previous trips. Ice cream is my daily treat at Disney because we usually go in August, when it can be sweltering, and because I figure that I can walk off all the extra calories! My DD loves eating at the places that have cheese for her fries like Pecos Bill's or Pinocchios House.:)

I don't know if they offer them all year long or not but I discovered this last December Cinnamon (SP?) roasted pecans. The are like a honey roasted peanut but with spice. They were in Epcot right outside the were the Candle Light Processional was being held. I did not eat most of them due to the rain that night and packed them away in my bag to come home. What a treat the week following arriving home. Boy do I wish I could get some more of those right now!

There's too many to choose from -
funnel cake from Epoct near the American pavilion
Frozen lemonade
Chocolate cake from the Main Street bakery
Apple Strudel from Germany
Popcorn that's jut been popped
Fudge from the candy store on Main street -

I've never had a trukey leg - I want to try it, and since my nephew is going with us this time and he's 12 and an eating machine. I'm sure I can convince him to get one so I can try it

I have to agree that a root beer float sounds wonderful. My DGD and I both like them.

POPCORN!

Nothing as good as this anywhere. Not even the movies!

I don't know what they do to it, but that's the first thing I do when I enter the park for the first time.

For whatever reason, the best place to buy it is the popcorn stand at MGM between B&B and TOT. They do something different there so it tastes better than any other location.

The least place is at DTD. The flavor there just isn't the same. Maybe it's because I'm not in a park!

My second favorite snack is a Mickey ice cream sandwich!

Carmelized Pecans

;)

Hi!

When we ate those Pecans at Disney, we were hooked, there's a family right in Orlando that makes them. They sell them at Publix's
and they do mail order.

I havent' ordered them in over a year, I ll try to get the info
if anyone wants it.

My favorites:
Carmel Candy Apples @ Candy Caldron, DD
Hot Fudge Sundaes @ Gharadelli's DD
I could go on....it's only 10:30am here and I am craving some of that SHRIMP from O'Hana's!!LOL!
I need a mini trip back to Disney REAL SOON!!!

Pixie Dust and may all your dreams come true!

Popcorn. The smell is so addictive. Sugar items fall close behind though.

I know that popcorn is not the most uniquely Disney snack or anything like that and techically you can get it anywhere, but there is something about that Disney popcorn that gets me every time! Having that first cardboard box of Disney park popcorn really makes me feel like I am on vacation in my favorite place.

Karen

PS - If you are looking for a way to come close to getting that Disney popcorn taste at home, I recommend getting a Whirly Pop machine and their prepackaged "Movie Theater Popcorn" kit that includes the kernels, the oil and the salt flavoring. It is not exactly Disney popcorn but it is the closest I have come outside the park!
