I'm sooo disappointed

I just called to confirm my PS arrangements. Good thing I did!!! I had PS for Chef Mickey's on Wednesday April 21st at 9:30 AM, or so I THOUGHT I had them. I have my conformation number, read it off to her and she says Chef Mickey's for 14 at 9:30 PM!!!! I said...NO NO NO!! This is for the breakfast buffet!!! She replys....is says here PM.

She asked if there was any other day we could go? Well...what do you have open? NOTHING!! It looks like there is nothing open the week I am there. I knew there wouldn't be but I thought I would try.

I am so thankful I called otherwise my credit card would have been charged for 14 no shows at $10 per!! I was really looking forward to going here since we have never been. I am just so sad now.

I guess I shouldn't complain I am going to WDW!

Any suggestions on where to go to breakfast now? Would it be a good idea to even try Chef Mickey's without a PS? What about the Wilderness Lodge Breakfast Buffet?

Sorry, I just had to vent!!

Jennifer :)

I have heard good things about Trails End. Also that it is a wonderful value. Hmmmmm.... no clue where to go for breakfast we usually either didn't eat or just do the food court at our resort.

Check as soon as you get there to see if anyone has cancelled.
Also explain what happened while you are there to see if that helps.
Maybe since it was a mistake they can help you out while you are there.:)

Jennifer:

We're doing the 1900 Cafe CB at the GF on our first morning. I've been told that it's very cool, although not as wacky as Chef Mickey's.

Don't do CM without a PS. You'll go hungry. :(

:madmad That is TERRIBLE, Jennifer!!!!!!!:hmmm

If I were you, I'd call back and ask to speak with a manager! They screwed up big time! That's so obvious since you don't have anywhere near 14 in your group.:( I'm sorry, but I wouldn't take
"nothing available" for an answer!

How about seeing if they have openings for 2 tables (like two different ressies for 7 people, or one for 8 people and one talbe with 6) instead of one big one? Most likely, you will get ressies within 10 min of each other and you can ask to be seated near each other.

Amy,

I actually DO have 14 in my group!! Crazy I know!!! My whole family is going.

That is Disney policy, any number over 13 (?), you need to hold the PS with a credit card. If you don't show up then they will charge your credit card for "holding so many open spots when they could have filled them with other guests".

I called and told my Mom what happened and she said to call back down there and do the same as you said. I do have the name of the people I talked to when I made the PS, I don't know if that will help now.

I am disappointed but then I can always find somewhere else!!

We will see what happens!! I'm just sad!!

Jennifer :)

I would call, especially if you have the name of the person. It was their error and not yours. Ask to speak to a manager, you had this PS held on your CC and you would have been charged for a ressie you did not make. The agents make mistakes and it is their job to make it right if you go higher up, I'll just bet they can find you a table and you have that CB at chef Mickeys on the day you wanted.

Just stress that this is the only CB PS you made, the size of your, party, the age of your little one and that it was not your fault and that you did not find out about this error until you called recently to confirm and what would have happened if you hadn't, etc.

I have heard that the Ohana's character breakfast at the Poly is very good. Why don't you try there?

Let us know if it works out!! If not, my personal 2nd choice would be Trails End....although there are no characters, the food is awesome!!

Oh yeah, that's a good idea. I don't know much about character breakfasts. My DD doesn't like big breakfasts, and I don't really eat much for breakfast either.

We do character lunches and dinners, but doesn't the Crystal Palace have characters at every meal - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore. It's a buffet and the do the pooh parade around the dining room occasionally. It's so cute.

DUH! Hahahaha...I totally misunderstood you.

Still, I would raise a little you know what and see what they can do for you. What have you got to lose?

**Also, tell THEM to search their system and find another character meal FOR you. It was still their fault.:hmmm
