I am planning to make PS for our upcoming trip. I will have a party of 9 maybe more before the actual day but when I call to make the ressie will I be required to place a deposit? And if my total changes will I be able to call back and add more?

You are not required to place a deposit at O'Hana. The only one that require deposit is CRT. Princess storybook asks for CC but doesn't charge it (Unless that changed). We had a party of 8 but only 6 of us ending up going and that was no problem. It is AWESOME, okay now I am thinking about that yummy shrimp!!!

Hmmm....I think there is a deposit required for large parties, but I don't know what they considered large. Disney Dining should be able to answer all of your questions.

I made ressies at Ohanas for 6 then my sister and nephew decided to go to WDW with us so I boosted the count to 8 then along comes our good friends that decided they will go too! So called ressies and jumped count up to 10!

Each time the reservation person made us a new reservation. For Ohanas there is the chance they said we'll have to break into 2 parties. And each time I had to vary my original time by 5 to 10 minutes which was fine. Only 37 days until I'm at WDW!!

I tried to make PS arrangements for a group of 11 at HHD and was put on hold and sent over to group reservations. Our group dropped down to 9 for our other PS arrangements and we didn't have to go to group sales or put a deposit down. I hope this helps for now.

Could someone give me the scoop on OHana's. Is it a dinner show? would the kids like it (5,8, 14)

I'm goin' to OHana's too - for the first time (wahooo!) From everything I have read and been told, it is going to be a LOT of fun! Enough food that it will satisfy the DH (The "Big Kahuna") and lots of fun for the kids. Dana told me they had coconut races, hula contests, and who knows what all else ... I think your wee ones should love it - I mean ... it's Disney - What's NOT to love?

karlibug - I was told its not a dinner show - but there are all sorts of fun things going on during the time you eat. Someone else told me to plan your PS so you can get out and watch the fireworks on the beach at the poly while you are there - doesn't that sound like fun?

O'hana is great for the kids no matter what their ages. Not a dinner show per say, but there is so much going on it mine as well be one., They have coconut races and hula-hoop contest. The food is excellent. It's a must do for me and my DD now!
