Villian Character Meal

Seems like I read somewhere that there was a character meal w/ villians like Captain Hook, Jafar. Is there? Thanks

Re: Villian Character Meal

I have heard alot of people "wishing" about one... I have not heard that there is one at WDW. It would be a great idea.. Especially for the older kids! And adults...LOL

That would be pretty cool, but alas... don't think it will happen.

Re: Villian Character Meal

I wouldn't say it wouldn't happen. Disney villians are getting more merchandiseable lately. Disney Villians float on the share a dream parade, the villian store at Disney-MGM, and the Disney Villian pin set seems to be getting popular.
I think give it time, either that or wait for halloween, since they gain even more attention around halloween. THere has just been such an increase for Disney villians that they are finally getting the deserved attention. We will just have to see though.

Re: Villian Character Meal

That's probably due to the wonderful CMs they've got being the villians!!! The Jafar we saw was amazing -- he'd not want to sign kid's autograph books, and then not want to give them back, and looked soooo put out (if it's possible for a non-face character to "look" anything!) when someone wanted to take a picture with him. And I've heard wonderful stories on this board about Cruella inquiring about a guest's pet dogs and wanting to come, ah, visit them... :) With wonderful villians like that roaming the parks, no wonder their popularity is increasing so much! :)

People stink! (I could have used another word, but this is a family community after all. )

Sometimes, I REALLY wish people would lighten up. It's supposed to be fun! When a cartoon character acts annoyed.. it's funny and it's ACTING!!!!

lol.

Oh well. Some people get it and some don't. I'm glad we do.

Re: Villian Character Meal

When we were there last Nov I ask quite a few cast members about this charcter meal with villans. I was told it used to be a 1900 park fair for dinner, and yes they did discontinue it. I hope they start one back up in the future. I'm thinking the smaller children didn't care for this and thats why it was cancled.Tina

Maybe there's a way to petition WDW.
How many DC members are there right now? At a certain point, our little online community should be able to exert a little influence on the powers-that-be at the Seven Seas Lagoon.

We did a magical gatherings wishes cruise last month and Captain Hook and Mr. Smee came to the reception (for about an hour) before we went out on the cruise. My DD did NOT like him (she just turned 4) but DS (8 1/2) really enjoyed hagin' out with hook. LOTS of one on one time since there were only about 150 people there, maybe 75 of them kids).

Here is a picture of DS with hook (I don't know why it's so blurry??):

Re: Villian Character Meal

We saw Jafar in Adventureland in MK and I just have to say that the kids were having a blast taunting him. They were making faces at him and teasing him, and all he would do is just motion toward them and they would scatter. Next thing you knew, they would start all over again. They were having a good time and so I imagine was the CM inside the costume. All the kids were under the age of seven. My DD was laughing up a storm even when he had to stop in the middle of signing her autograph to "chase" these pesky kids. All the while he was keeping up his regular antics with the kids who came up to get their autographs. He held myy DD book just out of her reach, so she couldn't get it back from him. She had a ball with him. It was hilarious.

She also remembers Cruella very well. She teased everyone. She had seen my DD getting her picture with Wendy and asked her if she liked Wendy and then said if she liked her so much what was her full name? My DD said Wendy Darling. To which Cruella corrected her and gave her full name and said Wendy (middleName) Darling. If you really liked her. You'd know that, see I knew you liked me you knew my name. She was classic. She was sarcastic, glib, and entertaining. I loved every second of it. She asked my dd if she had a dog. She said no, we have cats. Cruella said she she didn't like cats they didn't make good coats. My dd was laughing so hard she almost fell over. This was after Cruella pull the braid of the child in front of mine and wouldn't let it go. She was priceless.

My DD remembers both of these villians fondly and I think a villian meal would be great. Older kids and adults who get the villians and what they are about would enjoy it. I know I would. I think the villians are the most fun of all. I mean I love the "good" characters, but you can have a lot of fun with a character who is bad. My DD wanted us to go to MNssHP this year as matching princesses, and I told her that mommy is just not the princess type, but I make a really good villian. She thought about for a minute and then agreed with me. She said ok mom I'll be the pricess and you can be the matching villian/witch. That's my girl. Always willing to let mom have a little fun.

I don't know if he ever appears at Cinderalla Royal Table...we've seen him there at lunch before...but he didn't stay long enough to sign. He and peter were also having a sword fight on the outside of the castle (right out our window!) when we were there one time. That was cool.

Peter pan also appears at the Magical Gatherings Wishes cruise. He also brings tinkerbell along with him (very cool!) in her lantern. Although they were soaking wet (it started pouring right before we saw Peter) here are my kids with Peter and "tink" after our magical cruise.

Is it weird for me to respond to myself?

Ok, so now that we're petitioning WDW for a Boy's Character Meal, does anyone want to help me do the same for a Villian Character Meal?

DW has been nagging () me about this for a while. Some of our favorite characters are Villians (Malificent, Jafar, Captain Hook) and I've seen the Queen of Hearts at Epcot a number of times and she's downright hysterical.

So.... who's with me?
