Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights returning
I just heard that the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights will be returning to MGM this Christmas after a year's hiatus because of the tearing down of Residential Street to make way for the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show. The return of the popular holiday attraction will be in conjunction with "The Happiest Celebration on Earth," Disney's 18-month-long worldwide celebration of Disneyland's 50th anniversary. The Osborne lights reportedly will move to MGM's Back Lot.

Never have seen either show... Aw shucks, guess we'll just have to book another vacation ASAP so we can see it all! (Hey, ANY excuse to book another trip, right?)

It is absolutely beautiful. My daughter thought it was gawdy! I loved it...lights everywhere! Lots of little scenes all have Christmas lights on them...ie..on a wagon, all over a house, etc.
If you are there when the lights are going, go see it. Lisa

Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. We saw the much-ballyhooed Osborne Xmas Spectacle two years ago. We were quite UN-impressed. Just gawdy lites that they couldn't find a place to put up back home anymore. Compared to the stuff that's actually put together by the Disney Imagineers, it's very lacking. But if you like it, more power to you!
