I will be in Disney the day of my daughters 7th birthday, I would like to do something special for her.

Make sure you start the day by picking up a birthday badge for her at guest relations. That may get her many happy birthday wishes during the day. Do you have a special meal planned? A fun character meal is always a hit for birthdays.

If you will be in the MK, you might try getting a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch. Tell them it's your daughters 7th BD. I know they give you a certificate. We saw a little girl from England having a birthday there, when we were there in Oct.
She got a certificate and a piece of cake. The cast members paid her a lot of attention.

If you're staying on property, be sure to let them know it will be your daughter's birthday. Although there's no guarantee and it seems like the "quality" varies by the amount of $$$ you're shelling out to stay there, the resorts have sent balloons, signed photographs and other little presents like that for kids who are staying there on their birthdays -- by the parent not asking for the (free) presents but just by mentioning the birthday to the CMs.

I tried getting a PS (learning the lingo), but there are no openings for next week. I told them about her birthday, but they couldn't help with the PS.

Anyone know of any tricks to get me in there?

You can also try calling from the hotel as soon as you get there. We got some of our PS's after we arrived. You can ask at the desk when you check in. be sure to tell them it's her birthday.

Chef mickey's is also a great place to celebrate a birthday with the characters.

Had another thought. Maybe you're planning the whole vacation this way, but if not, you might want to consider letting your daughter plan everything making it HER day. What park and rides, where to eat, etc. etc. Kind a "princess for a day" thing. :)

We're doing a little of that, but I waited too long and I can't get into the castle for breakfast for her, one of the things she wanted to do most.

It looks like we'll be in Disney at the same time, where are you staying.?

CRT is the most difficult PS to get. You have to call right at the 90 day mark and even then you may not get it. However, I have read of more than one person getting lucky and getting a PS after checking in. PSs for CRT have to be cancelled 24 hours out or the deposit is lost so that may open one up for you. Right now my group is holding extra PS's waiting to see how the rest of our schedule works out. We will be dumping what we don't need and making some people very happy. Keep calling, you may get lucky.

There is also a Princess breakfast at Epcot that you could also try to get a PS for. Chef Mickey's is our favorite, the characters are great and the food is good. We have done both breakfast and dinner and enjoyed both.
