It's a small world, closed?
Whoa! I just found out that It's a small world is going to be closed when we are there.
Am I the only one that didn't know about this yet ?? We are going with a family of first timers! Imagine my disappointment that I can't get them on this ride!

Although, I am sorry that your newcomers will not be able to see It's a Small World, I cannot wait till the new updated version is opened. I remember making the comment to my mom last time we were there, its amazing what one can do with cardboard and glitter.

When my niece was there we had to get in 3 times(she was 2)... it was like crazy!! whenever she "knew" it was over, she started crying and crying and crying...

Well, *I* like the ride. I can't say it's the most exciting thing in the world, but I go on it happily every time I'm there. The Celopatra doll is my favorite, and I was very upset when they took her away to re-do her (she was one of the oldest ones there, doll-generation-wise ... that probably made me like her more too). AND when they put her back, they don't have as much light on her as they used to so you can hardly see her. :( So I'm very grumpy over that!!!
As for the cardboard and glitter, I always find the set really weird, but rather intentionally weird. If it wasn't so abstract, if it was like a miniture Epcot, it just wouldn't be the same. (Then the dolls would look to technologically unadvanced.) But, yeah, there is a kind of *something* feeling about it that it needs some kind of refurb in the entrance way. But I want the rides to stay the way Walt made them, d*mn it! :)
