Icon3 Looking for something special to do for honeymoon

My honeymoon is fast approching. June26-July3 Anybody have some neat ideas on something special I can do? I proposed to her right infront of Ciderella's Castle. (infront of the Mickey and Walt statue) However this wedding is making us go broke. So I need the ideas to not cost too much. Also any ideas on cheap travel, because I haven't booked my trip yet.
Thanks!

Ohhh that was so sweet of you... proposing in front of Cinderella's Castle... such a dream for a girl...

I was told about 7 for 5 nights including Ultimate Park Hopper Tickets... the information is on the main DC page...

Congratulations on the wedding!!!

Re: Looking for something special to do for honeymoon

Hey fireman. Welcome to DC.

For a honeymoon, I think the most economical way to do it would be to make ressies for one of the Values with a 4-day park hopper. Your free days could be spent on the Boardwalk, or DTD or even hanging out at one of the nicer resorts. You might also consider staying for one night at the GF, it IS your honeymoon after all.

The Values have good food courts where you can eat economically and then you can save up for a really nice dinner at Fulton's at DTD or Shula's at the Dolphin, or Alfredos (romantic atmosphere, decent food) or the restaurant in France (I forget the name).

One last thing.

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals! Have a great time!

Congratulations. Be sure to tell them you are on your honeymoon when you go out to eat and when you make your room reservations.
You might try talking to Mousektrips to see if they can help you. They are very good.

I might suggest a night curise to watch Wishes or Illuminations. I am pretty sure you can rent out the entire boat.

I agree. Definitely tell everyone you're on your honeymoon. I don't know if they still do it, but when we went to POR (then it was Dixie Landings) on our honeymoon 10 years ago, they gave us a certificate at check in for a complimentary champagne toast at the bar there (the bartender took a great picture of us toasting that I still have in a Mickey frame on my dresser!). When we went to Hoop Dee Doo Revue, we ended up at the front center table & got to stand up in front of everyone (a little embarassing, but great memories). So, there are some special things that you might be able to get for free just by speaking up! We also rented a little boat there on our last day and took a cruise up the river to DTD and back by ourselves. That was cheap, and nice and romantic!

Re: Looking for something special to do for honeymoon

Congrats to you and I concur with those who say tell everyone you're on your honeymoon. This applies if it's your birthday or anniversary as well. My hubby and I were married in the little pavillion just to the right of Cindy's castle 5 years ago.
We ate at the castle and did not mention that we had gotten married, but the bouquets must have given it away, because they presented us with a certificate and confetti at the table.
We just got back from a weekend trip for my son's birthday and stayed at Wilderness Lodge. Not only did they send a birthday card and balloons to the room for him, but also an anniversard card for us as well.
You can also find many inexpensive romantic things to do as well. Just sitting in the gardens, strolling around holding hands, watching fireworks...there's no end! Have a wonderful time!
