Icon3 Going to Walt Disney World by myself!?!?!

I had planed to go to Walt Disney around July 2 and staying all week. But, as life would hand out, the girl that I was going to take with me can not keep a job more than a week or two and now she will not have the money to go.

So, that being said, I was wondering if there was any sort of "Singles" place that you could maybe match people up with so I wouldn't have to go alone. I realy hate being by my self, and I don't think I would realy enjoy going by my self with no one to share the wonderful experience with.

I may be asking too much or just out of my mind, but I thought I just ask.

Well, I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, and maybe I'll hear from some of you about a solution for my "cry for help".

Thank you!!!

Chipper

Chip,I go by myself all the time. You should really try it. You might decide you like it.

Re: Going to Walt Disney World by myself!?!?!

I think that I would go anyway that I could go...

The other possibility is to get a new Disney VISA and take advantage of the 0% finance for 6 months on packages. That way you can go and save for 6 months to pay it off. I hesitate to tell you this since your gal is probably not the best candidate for such a plan.

If I did get to go by myself, I would like to try one of the tours.

Re: Going to Walt Disney World by myself!?!?!

You may enjoy going alone. You can see and do whatever you want and at your own pace. You are never truely alone at WDW. I have yet to have a trip where I don't meet tons of great families and talk with many people from all over world. I think a trip to WDW alone for a few days sounds awesome!

Maybe someone from disney central will be there when you are there. Then you could possible meet them and do some things with them.
I would go by myself rather than miss going at all.

Re: Going to Walt Disney World by myself!?!?!

I went to DL by myself, armed with a map and a camera... I rode every ride in teh singles lines, and I got great photos. I had the time o f my life and enjoyed the luxury of going at my own pace, re-riding the rides I liked, and eating junk without guilt! It was wonderful! Go by yourself and have a great time! At night, you can go to PI and have fun in the bars! Lots of good bar scenes, if you are into that!

Chip, I'd say no matter what, go by yourself... there will be plenty of things to do...

It would be good if your friend gets some way to go too... but dont be sad...

Re: Going to Walt Disney World by myself!?!?!

OK here is what I have found. I soooooo would not want to take a trip of more than two days to WDW by myself. I would just be flat out bored if I was at WDW by myself with no one to talk to!! I am a talkative person. I just cannot imagine being in a hotel room by myself!

With that said: If it is just a day trip. Go by your self! On my last trip I went out on my own one day and had a blast. I did everything that I, and only I, wanted to do! The singles lines are wonderful! Test-Track has to be the best! You can get on that thing like five times in a matter of thirty minutes. If it is more than a day trip, I would take your best friend. Who could resist a trip to WDW? I cannot imagine a person! LOL.

Re: Going to Walt Disney World by myself!?!?!

I say going to WDW on your own can be great. No one to pressure you to go to things only they want to do. I spent 4 days in the parks on my own during the 100 Years of Magic celebration and came home with great memories, and some AWESOME photos.
