Wonder if this is a first..
We were riding Thumder Mountain at the stroke of midnight during MK's first extra evening hours. Wonder of the people on that ride were the first to ride it on the witching hour. Then we got to ride it again with out getting off, there were about eight or so people waiting to ride when we got back, and it was to be the last ride, so they let us ride again.

May 2004 Disney Honeymooner Boardwalk Inn Concierge. Nice hotel, hard beds, great front desk service, terrible concierge service.  Visited MK for one day during Christmas 1996, awsome decorations.

When we were at WDW in '97 the park didn't close until 11 pm and there were E-Ride nights back then so I think people have been on the major rides at midnight before.

Grad Nights run after midnight too. At least they did when we went.
I think there is also a New Years Party that run late too. But still, it is kind of fun being in the parks that late.

Hate to burst your bubble, but when I was a kid my youth group went to MK they were having a special night for Church Groups. It was open till 2am.

I rode Pirates of the Caribbean once at midnight on New Year's Eve, got stuck on the ride for nearly 2 hours. The park was open until 2 AM.

I was never able to make a ride on (past) midnight, if I had to stay that late, I was working, hehehe... cleaning Turkey Legs ovens... hehe

How cool. What a great way to end the day at MK. I am so happy that the CM gave you an extra dose of magic. That hasn't happened to me....maybe one day.
