Ice Cream Social & Re-Hitching

This is a general FYI.

I was a little nervous about setting this up because I had heard rumors that they don't do the re-hitching at the Ice Cream Social.

Well, they do and it was just perfect. My understanding is that the process is a little more drawn out when you do it for a dinner reservation. But the Ice Cream Social is every bit as special. And the ice cream is great.

Characters for us were Farmers Mickey and Minnie, Pluto and Cowhands Chip and Dale. Each came by at least twice and we had many photo ops.

BTW, they also make a big deal about birthdays (as, I suppose, they do at all sit-down dining establishments throughout WDW).

I highly recommend it for anyone.

Glad that they did it for you! I have never tried that character meal and think maybe it's time I did. I'm thinking the ice-cream social will be right up my DBF's alley....he has major ice-cream addiction...lol Thanks Matt for the reccomendation!

Matt - Thanks for the update, you know how much I've been waiting for this info.! Our rehitching is scheduled for June 13th, 3 pm, just a couple more weeks! I can't wait, and my 5 year old DS LOVES Chip & Dale, so I was glad to hear they were there. But...you didn't give many details about the ceremony in your Day 1 TR, they don't embarass you too much in front of everyone, do they? I know you don't want to ruin the surprise, but I kind of want to know what to expect!

DW hates to be embarrassed in public and she liked how they did it. So, I hope that answers the question.
