What WDW attraction do you miss the most?

I wondered how DC members replied to this in the Disney Magazine Readers Poll. Soo I figured I would poll everyone .. I know not every took part in it ..but still it would be fun to see how DC'ers answers compare to Disney Magazine Readers answers :)

So what WDW attraction do you miss the most?

Re: What WDW attraction do you miss the most?

I voted for 20,000 leagues because it was one of my favorites when I went to WDW for the first time way back in 81 with my family. I can remember riding that with my Dad...just me and him.

Re: What WDW attraction do you miss the most?

I miss the skyway and Mr Toad, but I voted for the skyway. I always liked the skyway. It made my mom sick (she's afraid of heights), but I loved it. You could wave at people from up there above the MK and it was a cool way to get from tomorrowland to Liberty Square (Well, kinda in between LS and FantasyLand).

Besides I could always convince my extra gullible step-sister that if a stiff wind came up and rocked the car just right the cable would snap and we would plummet to our death. Yeah, I did that to her. You shoulda seen what I did to her in HM. Had her scared silly. I wasn't real good at that sister stuff...or maybe I was, I don't know.

Re: What WDW attraction do you miss the most?

I voted for Mr. Toad. I really really miss that ride when I go to WDW!! Although considering they still have it in Disneyland, maybe I should have voted for 20,000 Leagues...it's not anywhere to be found. So sad.

Um...just a question? What happened to the crying smilie face dude? I used to use him a lot, LOL.

Re: What WDW attraction do you miss the most?

I voted for "other". My "other" is the very first Journey into Imagination ride. I miss the ride, all the fun stuff at Image works, Magic Journeys & Captain Eo 3D films. The whole attraction was awesome! I dont really care for either of the 2 versions that replaced it.

Horizons & World of Motion tie for a very close second place.

I miss the skyway, Not only was it a great way to see the top of the world but it was a easy way to get across the park.

I miss XS Tech in Tomorrowland. That ride was so cool, it scared me to death, and I loved it:)

Re: What WDW attraction do you miss the most?

I have to go with the Skyway. It provided such a beautiful view of the park. We went on it at night when we were there on our honeymoon in '94 and I took a beautiful picture of the castle glowing in purple lights from the skyway.

Sound sisterly to me! I did the same kind of things lol.

I voted for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, but I was torn between that and 20,000 Leagues. I still remember when I realized that we really didn't go under water! I was devastated!

The Skyway to me was magical. I really thought we were traveling this HUGE distance. I remember being amazed that my parents let us go on without them, as if we were going across the country by ourselves. Which, really, we were!!

Other than 20,000, I do not remember if I did any of those rides. They do not sound familiar to me. When was the Skyway at MK? And when did it close?

Re: What WDW attraction do you miss the most?

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - this was where Ariel's Lagoon is now. You boarded a submarine and it descended into the ocean (a lagoon, and the boat was actually still half out of the water, but you felt you were way down! and experienced some of the sites of Captain Nemo's adventure!
Mr. Toads Wild Ride - this was where the Pooh ride is now. Very fun, very wild, but actually quite similar to Pooh. Maybe a few more twists and turns, and of course, no bouncing!
World of Motion and Horizons I'm a bit iffy on. I think Horizons was where Buzz Light year is now and World of Motion I don't think I remember either.

Re: What WDW attraction do you miss the most?

MagicalMoments, Skyway closed I believe in 2002.
Horizons was over in Epcot where Mission:Space is now and World Of Motion was where Test Track is.

Storm59, the ride that Buzz replaced was Delta Dream Flight.

That's right!! For some reason all I could see when I looked at the word Horizons was the twirly part that made you dizzy in Delta Dream Flight, that they still have in Buzz! Maybe I didn't get enough sleep last night :laugh.

What was Horizons, then? I remember it, and I know I saw it, but it's a blank.

lol think about Oranges!! Horizons was sort a ride showing our future possible living places .. outer space, under the ocean or out in the desert.
at the end you got to choose which way you wanted to go back.
remember the smell of the oranges? Or how about "if you can dream it you can do it"
you know that really stuck in my granddaughters heads and I am so glad it did .. I think its one of the most inspirational quotes ever at WDW
