Re: Best dining kid experience
The Cinderella breakfast is amazing, so listen to me. I couldn't get in either, but I called back EVERY DAY for about a month, and one day, they happened to have a cancellation (this happens a lot more the closer you get to your arrival date), so I got in. This is not something you want to miss (especially since once breakfast is over you are one of the first people in line for stuff in Fantasyland, a great bonus, since the park isn't open to the public yet at that hour). KEEP CALLING, bug the pants off the reservation people, and you'll get in. Good Luck:)

Re: Best dining kid experience
Chef Mickey's is great for kids. They get to sing along with the characters while swinging their napkins overhead every half-hour or so. We've often done the dinner buffet there on our first night and it's been a great way to start the vacation. This year we're trying Mickey's Backyard Barbeque dinner show because I've heard that's also a good one for kids.

Re: Best dining kid experience
How old are your kids? Are you looking for specifically character dining? If not, try O'hana's at the Polynesian or Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. Also, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater or 50's Prime Time Cafe at MGM Studios.
Rainforest Cafe can also be cool for kids who've never experienced it. Word of warning tho, very noisy place. But fun. Storms in the dining room, animatronic gorillas and elephants and stuff. Huge gorgeous aquariums. There's one in Animal Kingdom and one in Downtown Disney. You can get a Safari Card and get immediate seating plus a discount, and other perks thru the year. (The RFC in DD doesn't accept PS at certain times, and the lines can get long...but a Safari Card will get you right in.) ![]()

Re: Best dining kid experience
I 2nd the vote for Whispering Canyon. My kids liked it so much that they specifically asked to go back again the year after even though we have never stayed at WL.
I also want to try Beaches and Cream for The Kitchen Sink. It looks like a blast! ![]()

Re: Best dining kid experience
We loved the Park Fare Character Breakfast so much we did it twice. (Mary Poppins greets at the door and Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and one friend (either Eyeore or Tigger) provide a lot of interaction.
Liberty Tree Tavern is a great way to see Mickey's gang and I've been told that Donald's Breakfastosaurus is very good as well.

Re: Best dining kid experience
My DD loves Liberty Tree Tavern (character dinner) and the Garden Grill (character dinner). She also enjoyed the Crystal Palace (characters at every meal). She's not much on breakfast and neither is the rest of the family, so character breakfast's like the princess meals just aren't a big deal to her, plus she is also now 11 and she says that it's ok let the little kids see the princesses at breakfast, she'll catch them later. They'll be hanging around. She adores Chip, Mickey, Minnie, and the Hundred acre woods friends, so those are usually the ones we try to grab.

I agree with everyone else. Some of our favorites include:
Chef Mickeys (Chef Mickey and friends) Liberty Tree Tavern (Colonial Minnie and friends) Garden Grill (Farmer Mickey and friends) Sci-Fi (very cool atmosphere!) 50's Prime Time (fun!) Princess Breakfast (Princesses) 1900 Park Fare (Cinderella and friends) Whispering Canyon Crystal Palace (pooh and friends) RainForest Cafe This answer always changes after each trip, but currently, my kids personal favs (non-character) (DS age 8 and DD age 4) are: O'hana Trails End Buffet Le Cellier ESPN Club
