It was way too hot in MGM today for me. I left around 3 in the afternoon because I was really afraid I would have sun stroke.

No, no, no Matt. You're thinking of the Marines. In the Air Force, tough to us is a hotel without cable TV and a internet hook-up.

Oh no...I've been up here for almost 3 years now, and it doesn't even get close to getting hot. Not like it does in my beloved South.

*I wish I was in the land of cotton, old times there aren't soon forgotten, look away, look away, look away, Dixieland. I wish I was in Dixie, hooray, hooray, in Dixileland I'll take my stand to live and die in Dixie...

LOL!

Well, you may not have the heat, but at least you've got NASCAR.

It really has been brutal out there in the parks, hasn't it Alma? Take care of yourself.! BTW, have you gotten over to Epcot to see any of the Flower Power concerts?

Yes,PH,I saw Davey Jones and Eric Burden and the Animals. I was disappointed in both. For Davey Jones,he spent over half the time talking and he only did 2 Monkees songs,as far as I could tell. As for the other act,he didn't do his most famous hit,House of the Rising Sun. Very disappointing both times.

Interesting. DW and I didn't get to see either Davey Jones or The Animals, but we, too, have been disappointed in some of the other performers we've seen. Arlo Guthrie didn't sing either of his big hits, "Alice's Restaurant" or "City of New Orleans," and although Felix Cavaliere's Rascals were very entertaining, they didn't sing "Good Lovin."

Orleans and Gary Puckett were quite good, as were the Nelsons and the Grass Roots. Dave Mason can still play a mean guitar, but he has the stage presence of a wet mop. We'll be out to see the Lovin' Spoonful on Friday, and that will be it for another year.

also as someone who works somewhere without AC in the middle of the afternoon, just think the next time your at the parks about the CM's who have to stand out in the blazing heat in these temps and maybe just give them that extra thank you it goes along way.
I remember a few years ago there were so many fires that when we left WDW I-4 was shut down and all the traffic was diverted to small back roads. It took us 5 hours to get to Clearwater!!! I am glad that it looks like it may rain for the next week or so!!! I don't mind the rain at the parks, less crowds .

Well, good luck to all of you in Florida!!! Wildfires in Colorado have not been bad yet this year, but we definitely sympathize with you because we know first hand how awful they are!!!

A little rain would be nice to cool things off!!!

Because of all that ski resort theming, you actually feel pretty cool at Blizzard Beach all the time! Something about standing next to an iceberg, even if it is made of concrete, makes you get chills!

Re: It's HOT in Orlando

I can't believe how hot it is in Orlando already. We'll be there July 1st thru the 6th. We're driving down from NJ. The weather here has been crazy too. One day it's in the 60's the next it's in the 90's and the rain we've been having lately is crazy. Almost every day we've been having thunderstorms. I'm not looking forward to the heat but I'm so looking forward to the trip.

I'm watching the Wayne Brady Show when he was in Disney and it's getting me so excited for our trip. I can't wait! My 6 yr old son is counting the days. It'll be his first time. He's so excited.

Re: It's HOT in Orlando

The weather is very strange this year, stranger than normal. Where we are, we keep asking whether warm weather is going to show up at all, though yesterday was finally quite nice, and today is supposed to be too. It's been unseasonably cold, barely getting to 60, maybe 65 some days, but with a cool breeze that makes you break out your sweatshirts. I work nights, and going out to my car each night at the end of my shift it feels like a nice, crisp, cool, autumn night....
