Grr...it's about 90 days before my next trip to WDW, and I'm getting anxious to do all my planning. I'm calling for my PS tomorrow. But, I want to plan my itinerary, and park hours aren't up yet for September! And, there are still NO AP discounts for hotels for my stay! I have a reservation at Wilderness Lodge, and Hotel Royal Plaza. If the discounts don't come out soon, I'll have to cancel my WL ressie, and stay at HRP. I can't really complain because I'm going to WDW, but I am a planning freak and don't know park hours or parade/fireworks days and times and I'm getting annoyed! I don't expect anyone to have any answers for me...i just wanted to VENT! haha...Thanks everyone!

Don't get too stressed. First of all, be patient on the discounts. I gave up on discounts for July and booked a room for our first night through DVC a week ago and with in days room only codes came out. I am sticking to our DVC at BCV but hate the thought that had I waited a few more days I could have spent $79 for All Stars or $119 for WL.

Plan you PSs and when park hours come our you can adjust your times if you need to. WDW will open up later PSs if park hours are extended past what they are predicting right now. You can also schedule 2 different days for your must do PSs that way if there is only one or two SpectroMagic parades during your trip you have options if you want to see the parade. Once the hours and parade schedules are up you can cancel what you don't need.

Boy, do I know how that goes! It's incredibly frustrating.

But hang in there, and like DisneyTeacher said, be patient for the discounts. I had all but given up when discounts suddenly appeared that allowed me to save almost 40% off the regular room rates at CBR. (Even better yet, they decided to close it for refurbishment, and we got upgraded to the Poly for only $98 per night!!) Don't worry, be happy!

I feel your pain. I know how hard it is when you want to plan, but can't really do to much until WDW decides to let us know what is going on...lol. I too, am a planning freak, so I get it! Relax it will all come together.

Snazz I understand where you're coming from. My poor husband gets dragged along with me and my perfectly synchronized schedule. If he wants to do Pirates first, he can't because we have to hit fantasyland first because that gets the most crowded, and we have to leave Epcot at this time to make our PS over in MK, and we have to go to bed at this time to get 8 hrs. of sleep to be at Animal Kingdom on time for extra magic hour. I make him insane, but we definitely have a more full trip because of Over Planning:)

Snazz... Once, I was so determined to have the exact right PSs, that I made an early res at Cape May Cafe under my maiden name, and a later res at Rose & Crown under my married name! We did that sort of thing for several days, actualy. Once we got down there, I cancelled the ones I knew we weren't going to use, and it worked out great for everyone!
I used the two names to avoid confusion, but now that I think about it, I don't believe it was even necessary! I think we could have gone with just one name with no problem. The only restaurant that wanted a phone number with the reservation was Big River Grille.

I am very frustrated that they let you make PS's at 90 days but do not have park hours out until 60 days prior too!!!

I am an avid planner and NEED to have everything set WAAAY before we go!!!!

I went to, I think, allearsnet and looked at last Septembers hours to kinda get an idea of when parks might be open, that helped my mind some!!!

I am hoping the hours are pretty typical year to year!!!

It is nice to see that I am not the only one who likes a SCHEDULE!! But beware, on our last trip to WDW in October 2003, I had our trip planned and schedule ready. However, we ran into some snags with the biggest one being the new show at the MK where my two young DD were sooo excited to dance with Woody and pals. We stood in line to be told 15 minutes later that the rest of the shows were cancelled for the day. I think someone wasn't feeling well, which I understand. No problem, we will go the next day. The snag came into being that the new show schedules weren't out for the next day and no one could tell me what times the show was playing but that it would be the same as the previous week. WRONG!! The hours at all the parks changed constantly during our 7 day vacation and a lot of the time, one wasn't even aware until in that particular park. As it turned out, not only were the times different for our "Woody" show so were the days! Unfortunately, we never did get to make the show and I hope that the girls won't be too old the next time we go to enjoy it.

SO....check your program/show time guides ASAP and don't be surprised if there occur unscheduled changes in times and days.

This last trip taught me to be a little more flexible or let it ruin some of the "magic" - I chose flexibility (with difficulty, however).

I agree with Tammy. I had made a PS at Ohana so we could watch Wishes from there. We got the perfect seat at the restaurant, just to find out that the time for Wishes had been changed to later! Sometimes all the planning goes for naught. (Ohana was still great fun tho.)

I agree! I liked it better when PS's were made 60 days out. 90 days is just too soon for me, especially since park hours aren't posted at that time. I wish they would go back to the 60 day mark for PS's.

I make the PS the same day as we are going to it.
