crowds in late september, early october

as you all know, i'm getting married in WDW in the end of september. the same weekend we're making our trip down there is, i think, the weekend of Yom Kappur, I hope i spelled that right. i'm just wondering what the crowds are like during this time of year (late september early october) and also for the Jewish holiday as well. thanks in advance to those who respond.

Re: crowds in late september, early october

We were there last Sept 20-30. We walked on anything we wanted to! It was great!!! It was still hot, but the crowds were slim!!!

Congratulations on your wedding, and enjoy your trip!!

Re: crowds in late september, early october

We went last year in Oct. and the year before in Sept. October is a bit more crowded than September. However both times we went were easily done with even a little bit of planning. It is much warmer in September (90 deg) and tends to rain a bit more.

I am only guessing since I do not even know if we were there during the holiday (I won't even try to spell it) but I imagine that it would be a non-event.

Re: crowds in late september, early october

I went for my honeymoon from Sept. 21-28 and there were hardly any crowds at all, but when you do the MK, head straight for Fantasyland first thing, and don't go on a Monday. I recommend picking up Birnbaum's official guide to DisneyWorld 2004. And by the way, don't miss the Polynesian Luau dinner show. It's really cool.

Re: crowds in late september, early october

we are going 25sep-01oct and for some reason we are always there for that holiday it just happens every year. It has not been busy at all when we have been. i love it because we can do a park in half a day and still have time to do other things. the only down side is it kind of rains or is cloudy. one year though it wasn't hopefully this year will not rain. we are bringing 10 people who have never been so my expectations are a little higher.

Re: crowds in late september, early october

We went the first week of October last year and I thought it was pretty crowded. Not like a holiday or anything but some of the lines were long...like FP for ToT were gone by the afternoon. We had a wonderful time and the weather was great!! We stayed at week at CSR and it was the best trip ever.

The Epcot Food & Wine Festival begins this year 1 Oct. We went last year and it's a great time. So, if you are going the first week of October, you'll get to check it out.

Re: crowds in late september, early october

The Epcot Food & Wine Festival is a real hoot. All the countries, plus many not at Epcot set up booths with food, beer, and wine. Take lots of 1's and 5's. Most of the items are sampler sizes and cost 2-4 bucks. We never made it to dinner we ate so much walking around and around Epcot.<g>.

There are special dinners in the evenings that can be a bit pricey, but there are wine exhibits, and lots of artists, etc with paintings and crafts too.

Re: crowds in late september, early october

Usually the lines and stuff aren't long at all during these times of the year but i think that more people are discovering this and are going to DW during the least crowded time of the year. Have a great trip. Congrats

We went to this last year and really didn't enjoy it.

The lines were really long and the extra stands congested the park. Maybe we didn't attack it the right way?
