Personal Lockers

I am about to leave on a trip to WDW. I was wondering about the personal lockers inside the parks. I have been traveling through many airports and the lockers are shut down and I was wondering if they have also been shut down inside the parks.

If they have not been shut down, do you have any suggestions for renting them or using them?

Thanks for all your help. You guys and gals have been a big help in making this Disney Trip the best one ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again,

Chip

Re: Personal Lockers

I used a locker almost every day at the parks last trip. I think they were $7 and then you get a disney dollar at the end of the day when you return your key, but am not sure. I like to lug everything I may need to the parks, but hate to carry stuff, so the lockers were great. This was especially true for the constantly changing weather in january. We always ended up wearing a swearshirt in the morning with a Tshirt underneath and by noon we were to hot for the sweatshirt. I liked being able to take it off and drop it in the locker instead of carrying it. As far as I know they have not discontinued use of these. I don't see any reason for them too. Hope this helps.

Re: Personal Lockers

Locker rentals are still available at all the WDW theme parks. I think the fee now is $7 a day plus a $2 deposit that is returned at the end of the day. If you park hop, just keep your receipt and you will be given a locker at no additional charge at your next destination. You only pay once a day for a locker.

Re: Personal Lockers

Where do the lockers tend to be located? I'd like to use one on our trip, but not if I'm going to have to walk all the way across the park every time I need something. And how big are they? Will a backpack fit?

Re: Personal Lockers

Lockers are located in the following areas:

Magic Kingdom:
Lockers are located near the Transportation and Ticket Center or the Main Street Railroad Station.

Epcot:
Lockers are located near the west side of Spaceship Earth. Or try the unattended lockers at the International Gateway or the oversized lockers at Bus Information.

Disney-MGM Studios:
Lockers are located near Oscar's Classic Car Souvenirs at the Main Entrance.

Animal Kingdom:
Lockers are located just inside and outside the Park entrance.

Typhoon Lagoon Water Park:
Lockers are located adjacent to the main dressing room and Hammerhead Fred's Dive Shop.

Blizzard Beach Water Park:
Lockers are located at Snowless Joe's.

Re: Personal Lockers

Please don't think I'm too dense, but once you use the locker and go back to it once do you have to keep paying? The only similar lockers I've used are at bus stations or airports and they are a 1 time use not a full day.

Can you explain how this works in a little more detail? Thanks!

chris no its a full day use they give you a key and you can go back as often as you like so you dont have to pay extra at least its that way for the one in MK under the rr station on main street

Re: Personal Lockers

I don't use a locker because if i'm in,say,Fantasyland and need something,I don't want to go all the way across the park to the lockers. That would take up too much time.

Re: Personal Lockers

We love the lockers. We always take our DVC bag with our ponchos in them just in case. And then if we're not sure about the weather we'll take jackets or sweatshirts plus maybe some water bottles. I love the way they do the lockers now. The first one in the day is $7. When you return the key you get your $2 back. Then you take the receipt and the $2 to the next park & get another locker on the same day. And at the end of the day when you turn in your key you get your $2 back. Basically you get unlimited locker use for $5/day. Much better than paying a fee at each park. At DL they don't use key lockers. They have push buttons & you can even use your credit card to pay for it. Once you pay for it your receipt has your "combo" on it & you can get into it as many times a day as you need to.
