where to eat in epcot?

I have made all of my eating arrangments for my entire trip except for Epcot. I have viewed a lot of the menus and still don't know where to eat. My family doesn't eat red meat, only chicken, turkey and seafood, and from what I hear the Coral Reef is not good (that is where my 7 year really wants to eat). Does anyone have any suggestions for me, thanks:)

My favorite in EPCOT is Le Cellier, but they are mainly a steakhouse, so that probably counts them out. The two I would suggest would be Restaurant Akershush in Norway, it is a buffet, and has a pretty wide selection of meats, and Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. They feature moroccan food, of course, but they have a lot of chicken choices, and the bellydancers are a hoot. The restaurants in Japan are good as well, and usually feature fish.

One other option would be to walk over to the boardwalk and hit Flying Fish or Spoodles, or even Cape May Cafe at the Beach and Yacht Club. They are much better restaurants than the ones in EPCOT, and you'll get more for your money. You could also ride the boat, it takes about 5 minutes, about the same as walking.

I would highly recommend the Teppanyaki Dining Room at Japan. We go there every trip, and the kids love to watch the chefs as much we love to eat their food!

Also, the fettuccine alfredo at the L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante in Italy is wonderful.

And don't forget the Garden Grill in The Land pavilion is a fun restaurant because it revolves around some of the the scenes from the Living with the Land boat ride. and there are characters there, too!

If you are looking for fast food, the best place we have found is in The Land, the Sunshine Season Food Fair. Everyone can pick what they want in this "food court". (Try the chicken fajita baked potato....mmmmmm!)

Thanks for the info BDavis, I think we are just going to do the fast food thing. That way everyone can get what they want and there will be no fighting over the restaurant.:)

Hi! I also recommend the fast food smorgasboard in The Land. We have eaten there many times and the choices are quite varied. I can not recommend the restraunt in Norway. We ate there once and I found the food strange and did not find much I liked (I am not a picky eater). I know alot of people really like it, but it was not for my family. We are thinking about the new character breakfast buffet there and are going to the 3pm ice cream social at the Garden Grill so my granddaughter can visit with the characters and rest a little.

I'll throw in my 2 cents... :)

I HATE the food court in the Land... The food is good (we did BBQ and Potatoes), but we've done this our last 2 trips and it was an absolute mob scene and we found nothing "fast" about it. On a different day, we ducked into Akershus... It was great as usual (sorry LRTJS :)), quick, relaxing, and everyone was able to find stuff they liked. Heck...I made a ham & roast beef sandwhich - they had fantastic ham, beef, and bread up there along with their typical fare .

Maybe I should give Akerhaus another try! It has been over 10 years since I was there. I just remember there was hardly any food that I even recognized what it was! I am sure there have been a lot of changes since then. We went in for a late lunch and the place was virtually empty...but many years have passed and I am thinking about trying it again.

I still like San Angel Inn (Chicken Nachos) but I know that a lot of people don't like it. I've heard good and bad reviews, so it might depend on what you order. I love the atmosphere though and we ate right before the lunch ended and supper started, so we still had the least expensive prices. I really really like the chicken nachos mmmmm:p

I forgot to say that the next trip I want to try Le Celier (sp), that is the one in Canada...right?

I'm recommending the Teppanyaki Room in Japan also. The kids love it, the food is decent and there is definitely chicken and seafood on the menu. Only downfall is that every table seats 8, so if there isn't 8 in your party you will be sitting with some unknowns. But, the chef cooks at your table and it is fun (similar to a Hibachi's, if you have those in your area).
