Stitch's Great Escape

My DH and I are going back 9/19 (we go every year). Does anyone know when Stitch's Great Escape is expected to open? I would love to try it out this year and not have to wait until next year.

Disney hasn't announced an official opening date for Stitch. Rumors abound, though, and one that I've read has the opening as Oct. 11-12. The passholder preview likely will be sometime in early September, and there is bound to be a soft opening sometime before the official one. I've even heard Disney is now testing the attraction and pulling in passersby for a sneak preview. That's totally unconfirmed, though.

A soft opening at WDW means that a new ride is in operation even though it hasn't been officially announced. Think of it kind of like a sneak preview.

Last Year we were at WDW in Mid-September and they had a soft opening for Mission Space!!!! The Official opening was in October!!!

We were there in August & got to ride! A VERY nice surprise.

Ok this was years ago, but we asked to ride Body Wars during the soft opening. Never again!! We were so sick by the time it was over. Supposedly they had toned it down since, but never went on again.

My first trip to WDW, I got to ride Space Mt. during training, that was great. It was a dream come true for me.

Stitch is our family favorite. We can not wait until this new attraction opens. Hopefully when we are there in December it is fully running. We will miss the old Alien Encounter, but the new "theme" seems great!

I really wish we were but I think You are leaving the day we actually arrive at the POLY!!! We arrive on Tuesday 9/21!!! If you are around that day let me know maybe we can meet!!!
