Hurricane Park Hours
I just went to WDW web site and this was a pop up. I don't know if this is old info or not but I thought I would pass this along.
Walt Disney World® Resort Important Information for August 13, 2004 Based on information from the National Weather Service and emergency preparedness officials about Hurricane Charley, Walt Disney World® theme parks and water parks have adjusted operations on Friday, August 13. PARK HOURS OF OPERATION Magic Kingdom® Park 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. Epcot® 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. Disney-MGM Studios 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. Blizzard Beach 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Disney's Wide World of Sports 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park CLOSED Typhoon Lagoon CLOSED Downtown Disney® CLOSED All Walt Disney World® Resort hotels will remain open for our guests throughout the storm. For additional Park Hours, please visit the Calendar section of our site. Lisa

Wow, they are really making sure everyone is kept safe. Would not want to be there this week or weekend with the hurricanes.
I remember in 10/99 hearing that they evacuated Ft. Wilderness when, I think, Eileen came through. Our flight had been cancelled the night before and we scrambled to change our flight to land in Tampa. What a nightmare the night before our vacation, but we were determined to get there, even if we had to drive a few hours.

Has the storm hit there yet? They were calling for storms here in NJ and we havne't seen anything.

I just heard on the radio, the storm hit shore, in FL, with 140+ mph winds. I will pray for those folks down there...
