Disney Closed Due To Storm
I just heard on our New York stations that Disney is Closed today, possible tommorrow, Has anyone else heard this?
Hope everyone is safe down there...

Yep, its looking like its very ugly a bit south. Orlando has the shelters open and the news people have told us to stay off the road. Now its a catagory 4. scary.

My heart is breaking for all our DC buddies who have waited for ages, watching their countdown drop every day, only to finally get to Orlando and have their park hours shortened by Charley! -- Hey, everybody down there! We are thinking about you and hope you find new magical things to do!!!

We are having a disney celebration at our house by watching the dvd we received a few months ago and old videos from when went to disney. Hopefully some of our pixie dust will be sent to everyone down there who needs it.

The NWS has just reported that Charley is expected to hit Orlando between 8-11 pm tonight...My fingers are crossed.

I probably shouldnt post this...but for those going in the next I would say 6-10 days or so...there are 2 more storms that within the next few hours should end up tropical storms...so keep looking at the weather just to be sure...hey are both still far away, but it can't hurt to be aware of them. It is the height of hurricane season...so I would just check out the weather channel and look for projections and stuff. Both have the chance to be strong and end up hitting the US coast and one looks like Florida could be it's target..

Orlando, being landlocked, isn't generally considered to be a high-risk area, but foul weather can certainly stink up the joint for a day or two. IF the timing is wrong for any would-be travellers, just be prepared for potential flight delays and make sure that you're travelling with stuff to keep you busy. There's no use fretting over things you can't control. So, just be prepared and Disney magic will pull you through.
