Annual Pass Discounts/benefits

I was wondering what kind of discounts the WDW Annual Pass offers for restaurants & shopping inside the parks? Also, is there any special benefits or perks that are included? If anyone has an annual pass, I'd appreciate any feedback or tips? Thanks for your help! :angel Katherine

Don't have one yet, but plan on getting a PAP when we go in Oct. See http://wdwig.com/apass.htm for an unofficial list of discounts & benefits. The discounts start about halfway down the page.

mamakay, I, too, do not yet have my actual AP (although I did purchase a voucher last week and I will turn it in for my actual AP when I go to WDW next month). However, I have already found that it can be a real cost-saver. For instance, I made reservations at AKL using codes I found on mousesavers, and then (because I joined the Disney Club shortly after I made the ressies) I switched them to a DC rate (which was only a few dollars less than the other discount I used) However, I inquired about AP rates after I read that sometimes they were lots better than other discounts and, sure enough, the final reservations I got using my AP rate saved me $30 more each night of my stay. Some of the Disney boards/sites actually list the break-even cost for buying an AP vs. Park Hopper tickets, too. But, that info is only for admission to the parks. I do not think that the breakdown also considers the other perks and discounts one is eligible for as an AP holder.

mamakay we got our AP back in April of this year and have been to WDW three times since then. We have realy enjoyed having the AP. If you have an AP don't forget to just show your AP when entering the parking lot if you are driving (parking is free). The neatest thing is that we don't have to save money for tickets, the money can go for other things now. You can come and go as you like and not have to feel like your not getting your money's worth.:)
