Icon14 Thanksgiving week

Hi ya'll! I am going to Disneyland the week of Thanksgiving! My daughters (28 and 15) and my grandson (6) will be with me. What I need to know is... are there any special things we should be seeing? Parades? Fireworks on the beach? We are thinking about staying at Pop Century Hotel (we heard it was great there) We also are staying for 5 days, is that enough time to see Disneyland? Also anyone knows where to find discounts, coupons, etc. That would be great! This is a dream for all of us to go!!

Re: Thanksgiving week

Are you going to DL or WDW? The Pop Century Resort is at WDW. The answer to your question depends on which one you are going to visit.

Re: Thanksgiving week

The Christmas decorations will be up at DW the week of Thanksgiving.

You should be able to see plenty in 5 days. I went Thanksgiving week last year, and it was VERY crowded, even the weekend before. Go to the parks early...

I've heard things are less crowded at night, but I did not find that to be true during our visit

Re: Thanksgiving week

We went last year and a couple of things jump to mind. First off, make your dinner reservations as soon as is possible, they fill up for Thanksgiving evening really fast. We went to the Crystal Palace last year and really enjoyed it. Next, get tickets for MVMCP (aka Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ). In our mind this was the highlight of the visit.

Finally, stay relaxed and enjoy yourself.

Re: Thanksgiving week

Thanks Harry, but I believe were going to postpone the trip till Jan 10 to avoid the holiday crowds. Maybe in a few years, DH and I will sneek down to WDW in between college tuition payments and experience new years eve and the holiday decorations by ourselves.
