If you haven't yet used the first pass, you can still get another provided it is after the time stated on the ticket. In other words the ticket has its one hour window in which you can use the FP and the time that you can get your next FP.
We also take advantage of that and always have a fastpass in our pockets..when your ticket says you can get another, we do just that and it works out great! We never wait until we USE the FP to get another one..we do it when the ticket says we can and it has worked for us every time.

Re: FastPass Question

Heres what we do, when it's busy, or even if it's not busy. I collect fast passes, as I can with our families tickets, after the time span is up we will get another one for the next attraction, but here's our secret, there is a time window on the ticket, well the CM's are only concerned with the First time, you can't go in a minute before (depending on the CM, but usually strict) but it does not expire after the 2 hour stated time. I have double checked this with CM's and confirmed this. So on a hot day, rack up the FP,s and after the pool break, walk on all the rides.

Re: FastPass Question

This works some of the time - This is why we really call them FASTPASS... When you have two different rides that are close together that offer the FP get your tickets and run..run..run to the other rides FP. If you make it with in 3 to 5 mins the second FP ticket will print. The computer system has to update itself so that other FP dispensers know that you already have a FP. I have found this works best when the park is busy, the computers are slower updating. The computers seem to be in "area zones" so if one of the FP dispensers is closed the other update faster. We have had upto 4 FPs for 2 different rides, but I tell you it really wears you out!

Re: FastPass Question

Thanks for the info guys. I swear our FPs have always said you can ride (for example) SM between time A and time B. You may get your next FP after time A. I guess I'll have to look closer next time!!

I hate to think I have missed out on quality riding time!

I love this - I am thinking of the SM/BTMRR area!

Re: FastPass Question

Thanks for all the tips! Fastpass is new since my last trip and it seems that with the right planning, it will make our trip a lot easier!

Re: FastPass Question

What we do is Fast Pass a ride and ask a CM for suggestions. Most of the time they will suggest what other rides to go on according to the time for return. They are always on the money !

I have to take my son to practice, but do I have a Fast Pass horror story to tell you guys. Remind me later.

All of the theme parks (not water parks) have FastPasses, but only for certain rides. When you get your park map the FastPass rides are marked. That should help you map out your stragtegy.

Re: FastPass Question

I preface this with an apology for those of you who are not Universal fans... When you are a guest at one of the three Universal hotels, your room key card serves as an Express Pass for everything in their two parks... I mention this because the question was asked about Disney Resort guests.
