Re: closed attractions

IASW being closed until 2005 is disappointing, but it will come back better than ever after its refurbished! I will miss not seeing it this trip (I'll even miss that all-pervasive song that stays in your head for days afterward!)

For people worried about missing Ariel, I understand that another venue is being (or by now maybe has been found) for kids to meet her now that the Grotto is closed. Cast members hopefully will know where she is.

Re: closed attractions

Thanks for the info!

Does anyone know if "seasonal attractions" will be open in October? I will be in WDW from 10/15 to 10/23.

Specifically, I am wondering about:

1) Body Wars and Cranium Command at WOL Pavilion
2) The Timekeeper
3) Carousel of Progress

I have searched everywhere and it is hard to find definition of "seasonal".

I've heard that because of it's relative proximity to the Haunted Mansion that they are going to do an IASW / HM crossover event when they re-open it next Spring.

They're going to call it "Return of the Evil Smiling Dolls." The advanced animatronics will allow the ESDs to come alive and begin walking along the "shore" of the ride like zombies.

You didn't think I was serious did you?

Oh Matt! That is too funny! On the other hand, it sounds like Chucky's friends have found their way to WDW (BTW, I have never seen that movie, just the commercials, not my type of movie at all).
I like IASW and HM is my very favorite ever since I rode it at DL a loooong time ago when I was in 2nd grade.

Will the theme song be "It's A Haunted World After All" (sung by the Grim Grinning Ghosts Quartdead, of course)

Re: closed attractions

Sorry for the double post:

Davy Crockett

Yes, both Timekeeper and Carousel of Progress should be open in October. I don't know about the Epcot attractions.

Well thank god!!!
You don't want to tick off a 6yr old her first time in Disney!!
That would be one hairy situation!!!
Like Chevy Chase driving all the way to Wally World and it's CLOSED!!

Re: closed attractions

Oh, and most recently, Goofy's Country Dancing Jamboree is gone. That's right, the Hoe-Down IS down. But not to worry. In it's place, it will be a Meet and Greet for Woody and his Friends (save Buzz who is still in Tomorrowland by his ride). Thought that would help. Now if ya'll will excuse me, me and Big Bad Wolf gotta go do SpectroMagic! Have a magical day everyone.
