Memorial Day at WDW

Has anyone been to WDW ON Memorial Day? We will be going there in 2003 and that will be our 1st day in the parks. Memorial Day will be my brother-in-laws birthday and ideally we would spend it in the MK. And we ALWAYS do our 1st day at MK, just to soak in the atmosphere of Disney.

It would be my speculation that the MK will be the busiest park that day and it will be CRAZY for us to spend it there. Everyone else in my group really wants to go. I realize that a day of standing in line at Disney World is much better than any day at work, but we want to make the most of our trip.

Any info on that day would be appreciated!

I have been to WDW on Memorial Day weekend the past three years. Monday is typically a travel day for out of towners, but a huge day for the locals. I think no matter where you go that day it will be busy, so you might as well be in the MK!!!

Thanks for the info! How long of waits do you usually encounter? We can handle 45 minutes....but I don't think I can handle 90 min waits. How has it been in the past?

I appreciate your info....and welcome to Disney Central!!

As with all Disney World Parks the early bird gets on the rides. I have always had no more than a 20 min wait in the morning, then a good use of the fast pass system until 2:30. We then head back to the hotel for swimming, boating, etc. Then back to the parks at 5:30. With NEVER a long wait. Have Fun!!!
