Does anyone have a contact name and number for Disney Reservations. They have majorly screwed up my Grand Gathering reservations and are not being very helpful with getting it corrected (wrong number of rooms booked, FL Resident Disc not applied, etc.)

The official #'s are 1-407-WDW-Dine, and 1-407-WDW-INFO.
Or call 1-877-939-3732 for Dining, Central Reservations, Info, etc. (same place, just toll free!) Immediately ask for supervisor. After they correct your problem, ask if they can email the correction. You'll need to go through the prompts to get to a "real live person", but at least it's on their dime!! Sorry they messed up your ressie. I hope they can fix it quick for you.

Well as I was writing my original post I was on hold waiting for reservations to connect me with Guest Services. I just got finished and reached a compromise that favors Disney and not me. I was originally booking rooms at PO Riverside, but they informed me that they do not HOLD discounted rooms (which is not what I was told at the time that I placed the rooms on HOLD). I was told to put the rooms on HOLD and that each member of the party could call in with their own credit card number and get one of the rooms I put on hold with the FL Res Discount. Now we are all staying at All-Star Sports with the corrected rate. I expected more apologies and compliance with my needs from a place I visit virtually every year. They didn't even apologize for the error.

That is so weird. I've booked a couple of room recently and they were held for 14 days. They usually hold the ressie and then send the invoice in the mail and you have to have it paid for within the 14 days.

I'm glad they worked it out for you (somewhat) and AS Sports is fun. We've stayed there at Surf's up and it was good. have you stayed there before?

No, my folks stayed at AS Music last year and when we went and visited I thought they were OK but really loud. We always stay at POR because it is so peacful and secluded. Plus all the wives like the boat shuttle to Downtown Disney. I think it will be fine, but this is the first time I have ever seen Disney not use the motto of "the customer is always right".

jwelch, when are you going. Disney will always hold any room, discounted or not, unless you are inside a certain time frame. For room only reservations, that is usually 30 days. Even at that point, they should hold them for 24 hours.

Are there no discounted rooms left?

Also, if you're concerned about noise at AS Sports, I can reassure you that if you get Standard rooms (in the back of the buildings) and avoid the first floors, you shouldn't have any noise problems at all. We've gone two years in a row when there have been many young people and we weren't bothered by any of the activity.

On a related note, it's ironic that the "Preferred" rooms at the Value resorts tend to be those that are most affected by noise.

Were are going in November and by the way they were talking to me Friday night, there are almost no rooms left at the FL Resident Discount Rate (at least for that week of 11/09 - 11/14). All in all if we end up at AS Sports I think it will be fine; my wife just wanted all of our friends (who have never stayed on Disney property) to be blown away like we were when we stayed for the first time at PO Riverside.
