Jeanne's almost to Orlando -- who can sleep?

I'm sitting in front of my computer at 4 in the morning because who can sleep as the effects of Hurricane Jeanne are beginning to be felt here in Orlando. The weather is deteriorating quickly in western Orange County, but the worst isn't expected until around daybreak.

All of WDW will be closed on Sunday and Orlando International Airport isn't expected to resume flights until noon on Monday.

You think you're worried-I'm heading there on Wednesday evening-and I've got to go all around town, since I'll be there for a convention(as well as a couple days at WDW-how could I not?). I hope the entire thing isn't cancelled!!!

Jeanne went through here last night. Terrible wind gusts started about 9pm and continued through the night. This one was worse then Frances. I am on the second floor of a condo and we could hear things hitting the wood we put up on our glass doors off the balcony. This morning we woke up to alot of debris all over the place, trees down, etc. All night I watched the tree over my truck, I stayed upright.

The news channels are now focusing on the next area to be hit, central & west FL.

With so many friends and realatives in south Florida it seems like all I do is worry and then we also got hit by Ivan in Alabama too. I know that being down there you are so tired of all this. My son in Tampa boarded up for the last two but not this one and of course this time it was worse. But everyone keeping safe is the immportant thing. Things can be replaced, but not people.
