Icon5 Simple Question. No answer.

Hi. This is the 3rd time I've asked this question. The last 2 times were buried in other threads. So I'm hoping by starting a new one, someone might respond.

I got tickets for my first MVMCP in the mail this week. I thought, from reading up on it, that the event went from 6pm-1am, but that the crowds greatly dwindle after midnight. However, the tickets state the party is from 7pm-midnight. Are they cutting back the hours? A two hour reduction in time over past years seems pretty significant.

I'd appreciate any feedback, even if it's to tell me to stop asking dumb questions/

Re: Simple Question. No answer.

I thought that it was from 7pm to 12am. That is the hours for MNSSHP in Oct. We went to that last year and are going this year. You can check on Allearsnet.com about the hours though because they have reviews and info from past years and that may clear up the question for you about whether they have scaled the hours back, but my initial guess is that MVMCP has the same hours as MNSSHP. However, I could be wrong.

Re: Simple Question. No answer.

I just checked last year's times on Allearsnet and it was from &pm to 12am, so the times have not changed. You can still get in a lot of Disney fun at MVMCP in 5 hrs. Just go with a plan. That is what we do with MNSSHP, and we have a blast and haven't missed a thing yet. I love it and definitely get my money's worth, and my DD wants to go to MVMCP. Maybe in a few years, we will get the chance.

If you want to check last year's times go here:

Allearsnet.com - MVMCP hours

I am sorry your questions got "buried". I honestly would have answered with something had I seen them. There is no such thing as a stupid question on DC. The hours for party are the same as they always been as the lawwin and jodilt have said. Again, sorry your threads were buried. I am certain it wasn't on purpose.

Re: Simple Question. No answer.

We went last year. Your best bet is to be in the park and check-in at 6 and get your armband. We went to the park around 4.,checked in at 6 and they give you an armband. They do not close the park and re-open it, they just only let people with armbands on the rides after 7. You will see that they will have one side of Main St. blocked off for you to walk down and show your armband so that the other people can leave. It is a blast. You will have ball. Right on and off of the rides and the pictures were fun. Enjoy!!!

Re: Simple Question. No answer.

Also, it's my understanding that while the rides might close at midnight, there are still CMs hanging around and some of the shops remain open. I've certainly been known to "walk really slow" at closing. It's fun to walk around a near-empty park.

We do this all the time after IllumiNations at Epcot.

Re: Simple Question. No answer.

Perhaps the MK does things like Disneyland. If the park closes at 12 am for instance, the rides will shut down but Main Street stays open until 1 am, an hour later, for shopping. And between 12 am and 1 am, Main Street is totally packed! People don't want to carry their purchases around with them all day so they get them on the way out.

Allears was the source that made me believe it went until 1a.m. They stated that after midnight the park empties out and there are no lines. Maybe, there's an unofficial 1 hour buffer.

Thanks for the answers!
