Pizza Planet at MGM

We are still planning on going to WDW the weekend of Nov 5th. We are planning on getting to POFQ about noon then going to MGM for the rest of the day. My 2.5 yr old ds (aka The Prince of Darkness because of his behavior the last trip..lol) LOVES Toy Story. I noticed there is a place to eat at MGM called Pizza Planet. I didnt think it was a restaurant, but does anyone recall whether there are tables inside similar to how Cosmic Ray's Cafe or Peco Bill's is at MK or is it just a counter-service where you take a tray and find someplace to sit away from the walk-up counter?? I vaguely remember where Pizza Planet was located but we never really checked it out.

Any info is appreciated...

It is an arcade where you can get pizza and sodas. There are plenty of tables upstairs where you take your tray from the walk up counter.

Thank you for the reply. It sounds perfect! My ds has to touch the controller on the arcade type machine at Publix every time we walk by it (it is the thing where the grabber comes down and you try to pick up a toy with it...like the one in Toy Story movie). He will get a kick out of playing in the arcade at Pizza Planet.

Pizza Planet is mm mm good. It has the same generic pizza from all over property, plus salads and such. There is lots of seating upstairs that overlooks the arcade.

You can also sit outside if you don't want them running to the arcade while you eat. That's what we did.
The pizza is just pizza, but Pizza Planet was one of my kids favorite restaraunts!

Make sure you check to see what time they close! We almost had a major 3 year old meltdown in January - my son is a HUGE Toy Story fan so after a long day, we promised him dinner at Pizza Planet. Well, we showed up at about 5:30 to find they were CLOSED for the day already! Poor kid was SO disappointed. So he's always talks about "next time" when he WILL eat at Pizza Planet!

Me and my DD always stop at PP. I love the old school video games like Centepede that they have. We spend a good hour in there playing... we have only ate there once though and the food was just fine.

Re: Pizza Planet at MGM

We had a nice quick lunch there, I remember good salads, but the line moved incredible slow (it seemed). I blame it on fresh food (which is good!) and a hungry family. We ate outside watching all the activity aroung the Muppet fountain.
Enjoy!

This is something that my son has to do at MGM. It really reminds us of Toy Story my favorite movie....

Re: Pizza Planet at MGM

I love Toy Story and Pizza Planet. Although it could be a little more like the one in the movie I thought the food pretty good and when we went in late afternoon it was not crowded at all. The atmosphere is fun and kids love it.

Re: Pizza Planet at MGM

I always thought they should make the PIZZA PLANET into a real restaurant! It is a great idea!
