Epcot hurricane photo

Well, Hurricane Jeanne knocked out the power at our house in Orlando for 36 hours -- it came back yesterday evening -- but other than a few downed limbs in the yard we came through OK again. No damage to our house, though there are lots of problems countywide. People whose houses were damaged by the previous hurricanes have been particularly hard hit, and many areas are flooding because the rivers and lakes continue to rise from all the rain we've had. Of course the people along the coast have been the ones who have suffered the most.

Here's a photo of Spaceship Earth taken during the latter stages of Hurricane Jeanne.

OK, wait, this was taken from the parking lot, looking into EPCOT. It definitely looks funny though, since there isn't any portion of spaceship earth below the monorail tracks. Let me see if I can find a similar picture.

The picture was taken by a photographer for the Palm Beach Post newspaper and distributed by the Associated Press. I don't believe it's a fake.

Isnt that because the monorail station is blocking it?
Looks real to me.

Re: Epcot hurricane photo

Look at the Palm trees in the forfront of the picture....they are clear and bright in color....the rest of the picture is cloudy from the rain. Didn't the rain hit the palm trees? I think it's fake, all around it just doesn't look right.

Re: Epcot hurricane photo

Also notice the position of the monorail track. If you stand in the parking lot looking at Spaceship Earth from the perspective in the picture, that isn't how the monorail track would look. It would be going into the picture not across the picture.
