Costumes for MNSSHP?

Hey everyone!

Just a wee quick question. My friend is reluctant to dress up for MNSSHP as we'll be going before Halloween as she thinks people won't be getting "costumized" (We're spending Halloween night at A.N Other Park! - Sssh! )

Do many adults (without kids in tow) get dressed up at MNSSHP even if it's not October 31st?

I'd love to get into some kind of costume for the event! Get into the spirit of things!!

Re: Costumes for MNSSHP?

Yes they do!!!!
We all dressed up and had a blast. Until you walk through the MK turnstiles, you may feel a bit akward, but then there are a ton of adults in full costume.
Have fun!

We went on the first night last year. By all means dress up. There were adults with children and without that were dressed up.
It was a lot of fun.

Re: Costumes for MNSSHP?

Excellent! I figued as much but now I have proof

I want to get dressed up in 60's or 70's gear. Maybe a disco diva or something!

I'm soooo excited!!

Another question: Are the Disney Villains out in abundance? They're my favourites

Re: Costumes for MNSSHP?

I don't remember seeing the villains out much.... but then again I kinda ran from ride to ride, so I was a little distracted, hehe. But definitely watch the parade... lots of villains in that, at least last year anyway. And do dress up!! Everyone does, regardless of having kids, and it's so fun! "disco diva" would be awesome, lol!

Re: Costumes for MNSSHP?

Oh, yeah!!! dress up before Halloween. We are going this year on the second night which is Oct. 3rd (that would be this Sun.) and me and my DD (who is 11) are getting dressed up. She is going to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and I am going to be Snow White (I didn't pick the costume, she did - I wanted to be Maleficent- She wanted Mom to be a Princess, so I am going to be a Princess). LOts of people dress up and it is so cool to see them all. My dd said last year that it was way better than Halloween, and that she didn't even need to go after going to Disney.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I'm really looking forward to it!

Now, one more question (If you'll indulge me!) - is there anywhere good in Orlando that sells a wide variety of costumes? I probably don't want to dress up as anything scary and only want to spend about maybe £40 (That's about $65 to those of you in the know that don't come from UK - uhh, that's probably all of you! )

My friend is less reluctant to dress up if she can buy something "Over there".

(Which is "Over here" to the locals! lol - sorry, in a bit of a mad mood today!! )

Re: Costumes for MNSSHP?

Well, there's the Disney store at Downtown Disney (a bus ride from any of the Disney hotels or parks) and I imagine they must carry the costumes. Kinda pricy, but with the exchange rate what it is quit complaining!!! Den still hasn't returned from the dead over here, ya know...

LMBO @ "Den still hasn't returned from the dead over here, ya know..." !!

My friend WILL be happy! She loves Eastenders. I kinda hoped none of that tat got shown over there

Thanks for the hint re: costumes, and you're right - the exchange rate HAS been pretty fab this year. £1,800 has bought me $3,000 (Currently £1 = $1.70 approx. I WAS getting $1.79 a couple of months ago!)

<has a look below this post> Ooo! My countdown's getting smaller by the second!!!!!

Re: Costumes for MNSSHP?

DS is going to be the blue Power Ranger...he desparately wants me to be Kim Possible...I told him if he could talk his daddy into being Ron or Rufus I'd think about it!! LOL

I'm so excited and am sure I'll wear a costume of some sort...not sure about DH though...
