New ride at MGM??

When we were on the Backlot tour at MGM we passed a new ride being built at MGM. I was wondering if anyone knows what this ride is called?
All I remember is that it has something to do with cars and is a thrill ride. I think they said it was opening sometime in 2005.

Anyone know anything about this?

It is some sort of stunt car show... I can't remember all the details, but I seem to recall that there is going to be a lot of fast driving and explosions, etc...

I think it is a replica of the very popular car stunt show at Euro Disney. I hope it is better than Indiana Jones.....once you have seen it 10 times, it could use a little changing.

Sorry to be negative but, I gotta say....I'm not really excited about this show. I can't imagine them destroying the residential street and spending all that money on a stunt car show.

I'll go once to see it for myself, but I can't imagine that it could be that good.

Anyone else underwhelmed at the prospect?

Yeah... the idea of a car show doesn't thrill me. In my opinion they could have used to space for something much better. At least make it a ride where you get to DO the stunts instead of just watching them! But I won't say too much before I try it. Disney always pulls through.

TCT will probably know this but I've heard its a replica of a show at Disneyland Paris?? and its apparently a French village setting, TCT help!!!!!!!

Well, I understand what you are saying... but this is MGM and maybe they are trying to bring in some 'behind the scenes' type thing... I was confused when I went MGM... I was expecting more that type of thing... and it's just not there...

You will all change your mind when you see this show, it is spectacular. I saw it at Euro and loved it. I think it goes along great with the Studio's theme and showing how stunt driving,etc. is done in the movies. Anyone else see it over the pond?

While I am excited at the prospect of a new show at MGM, I was really disappointed at what the addition of it has done to the Backlot tour. It is really bad now. No residential street, the boneyard is smaller and Walt's plane is behind some of the construction fencing. Our guide didn't even mention it!!! The backlot tour now consists of the drive through the "production" buildings with costuming, etc, and the canyon and that's it! I was really disappointed at the changes. I wonder if the backlot tour will survive?
